The man said nothing. He released her, lifted the silk quilt, and got out of bed.
Sophie Sullivan shifted, finally comfortable.
After a while, Thomas Shannon, having finished washing up, came out of the bath chamber.
He opened the wardrobe and, right in front of her, took off his sleep gown and began to change.
Sophie Sullivan suddenly pulled up the quilt to cover her eyes. But then, she felt her action was unnecessary.
Why did she need to cover her eyes?
If he wasn’t afraid to be seen, then what was she afraid of?
Removing the silk quilt, Sophie Sullivan openly admired Young Master Shannon’s body. It was truly a very fit and virile physique.
"Have you seen enough?" The man, now in black trousers, turned around, one hand zipping them up with a swift pull.
Sophie Sullivan answered bluntly, "Not yet. Can you take them off so I can look again?"
He put on his shirt. With slender, good-looking fingers, he slowly buttoned it up. "Hurry up and get up. We’re going to a fun place today."
"What fun place?" Sophie Sullivan lay on her side, one hand resting under her head, looking at him with interest.
"You’ll know when you get there."
"Can you stop beating around the bush?" Sophie Sullivan pouted and blew a strand of hair from her cheek. "You first tell me what kind of fun it is, then I’ll decide whether to go or not."
After all, she was on her menstrual period, so many activities weren’t suitable or convenient.
"You still have the power to decide?" Thomas Shannon scoffed, as if he were telling a joke.
Feeling herself being so blatantly disdained, Sophie Sullivan became very upset. And when she was upset, she became uncooperative.
She stubbornly stayed in bed, refusing to get up no matter what.
Thomas Shannon went to the floor-to-ceiling windows and, WHOOSH, pulled open the curtains.
Dazzling light poured through the glass into the room.
Golden light spilled across the floor.
Sophie Sullivan squeezed her eyes shut. The next second, she was yanked to her feet.
Startled, she opened her eyes. Thomas Shannon’s handsome face was inches away. A very faint smirk played on his lips. "I’ll give you thirty seconds to decide whether to get up."
Sophie Sullivan stared blankly, then defiantly nodded.
The next second, her body was suddenly airborne, and she let out a terrified scream.
Thomas Shannon swept her into his arms, carried her to the floor-to-ceiling windows, and pressed her body against the glass, forcing her to look at the bodyguards patrolling the courtyard below.
"Thomas Shannon, what are you doing?"
She was only wearing a thin sleep gown with nothing underneath.
Pressed so tightly against the cold glass, the chill seeped through the thin fabric of her sleep gown onto her skin. A sudden, sharp unease pierced through her.
"They’re down there. If they look up, they can see your body."
"Want to know how they’d react, hmm?"
"Thomas Shannon, let go of me!"
"I’ll get up! I’ll get up right away, alright?" Sophie Sullivan snarled through gritted teeth. She’d never met such a despicable man!
Thomas Shannon slowly let her go. Sophie Sullivan, like a frightened bunny, fled into the bath chamber in a panic.
He chuckled. "Wouldn’t it have been better if you’d just cooperated from the start?"
She just had to pick a fight! Such a pointless fuss!
After washing up as quickly as possible, Sophie Sullivan ran out of the bath chamber, grabbed a dress, and darted back into the bath chamber to change.
Only after changing her clothes did she finally feel a sense of security.
Stepping out of the bath chamber, she fiercely threw the sleep gown in her hand at Thomas Shannon’s detestable face. "Pervert!"
