Sophie was sure that Fluffy Zane had heard that sentence. However, contrary to her expectations, Fluffy Zane wasn’t angry, nor did she argue. Instead, she just smiled faintly as if she had long been accustomed to it.
"Curious why I’m not angry?"
Sophie nodded. "Why aren’t you angry?"

In the conference room, Charlie River’s mobile phone rang.
He approached Thomas Shannon with a smile. "Young Master, George Stanford is here!"
William Guillen stood up and crushed out his cigarette butt. "That old man still won’t give up on my mother!"
"Don’t just be angry; focus on what’s important." Thomas Shannon patted his shoulder, signaling him to stay calm.
"Go and bring him up."
George Stanford, uncharacteristically dressed in a suit and leather shoes with a bow tie, had come to the banquet hoping to see the goddess of his dreams, but he didn’t expect not to find her. He searched around but found no one and couldn’t help feeling disappointed.
"Mr. Stanford, please come with me."
George Stanford looked at the person in front of him. "You are...?"
"Someone is waiting for you. You’ll know when you come with me."
George Stanford hesitated for a few seconds before laughing. "Alright, lead the way."
Charlie River led George Stanford upstairs to the conference room. "Young Master, I’ve brought Mr. Stanford."

"You deceived me?" Feeling cheated, George Stanford turned to leave in anger.
A man in black stationed at the door blocked his way. George Stanford, furious, shouted, "A good dog doesn’t block the path! Move!"
"Mr. Stanford, why don’t you hear me out first?"
