Nan Feng flipped on the ground, gracefully avoiding him.
This was modern Kung Fu, which Nan Feng had mastered pretty well. When attacked, typically she would do an aerial flip, roll a couple of times on the ground, and then stop.
However, Ye Ge, who was standing aside, frowned as he watched Nan Feng, thinking her rolling on the dirty ground was unsightly.
Seeing Nan Feng dodge his attack, Lin Hao immediately pulled the reins and charged towards Ye Ge instead.
But Ye Ge effortlessly sidestepped Lin Hao’s knife attack and with a powerful kick to the horse’s rear, the horse got frightened and started running forward madly. Before long, it had carried Lin Hao far away.
The rest of the goons realized that both Ye Ge and Nan Feng were skilled fighters. Thus, when Ye Ge turned towards them, they all instinctively took a step back.
However, Pi Tou started yelling, “Didn’t you guys hear what Hall Master Lin just said? You don’t have to fight, but we must smash this shop into pieces. Smash it!”
Those goons started to toss their torches into the shop. Nan Feng tried to stop them, but there were more than a dozen torches flying in her direction. How would she be able to catch them all?
Just when it all seemed lost, Ye Ge made a quick move and flipped his body against a nearby wall, rapidly pouncing on each torch that was thrown. The torches either got knocked to the ground by him or were kicked back towards the thrower, setting their clothes on fire, panic ensuing as they rolled around to put out the fire.
Inside, Feng Gu woke up from her dream to the sounds of a battle. Terrified, her heart jumped into her throat. She sprang up, grabbed a stool, and sprinted outside to offer assistance, but froze in astonishment once outside.
Both her sister Nan Feng and Ye Ge remained unscathed, while a group of goons were rolling on the ground in pain, scattered torches surrounding them.
Concerned about starting a fire, Nan Feng ordered Feng Gu to fetch water from inside to put out all the torches. Utterly flabbergasted, Feng Gu threw down her stool and dashed back inside.
The stool Feng Gu had thrown landed directly onto a goon’s foot, causing him to cry out in pain once more.
Once the fire was put out, distant horse hooves started getting louder.
Having just managed to control his frightened horse, Lin Hao was finally able to hurry back. However, upon his return, he only saw this shocking sight. Stunned, he stuttered, “Yo-you…your hearts are ruthless…I…I will…I will report this to the branch!”
Ye Ge slowly walked up to Lin Hao and said, “No need to report to the branch. Why don’t you report directly to your headquarters? Also, both Nan Feng and I will accompany you there. Right now!”
