"Ha! She wouldn’t dare! I’d give her a beating, make sure she falls into line! Cut the crap, you lot, are we going or not?" the dark-skinned middle-aged man asked.
The others couldn’t help but look at each other with troubled expressions, "Old Zhang, it’s not that we don’t want to show respect, but just a few days ago we went to the casino and are now cleaned out, not a penny to our names. Wait till that damn boss pays us our wages, then we can... hehehe..." The men all let out lewd laughs in unison, their blood seeming to stir, indicating they’d all been up to no good together before.
Old Zhang was no fool; he chuckled at his coworkers, revealing a row of yellowed teeth, "Alright! Once we get paid in a few days, let’s all go have some fun together!"
In the midst of their talk, they quickly headed to the outhouse to take care of business and then emerged with a contented look on their faces, pants in hand.
Just then, there was a rustling noise beside the outhouse.
"Who’s there? What the hell?" Old Zhang, with sharp ears, heard the noise and jerked around, alertly calling out.
The others, startled by his reaction, felt goosebumps and turned to look in the same direction.
"Old Zhang, what did you hear? What’s going on?" a jaundiced-looking man asked Old Zhang, stammering in shock.
"Shh!" Old Zhang signaled everyone to be quiet. As he opened his mouth to speak, he caught sight of a shadow flashing by.
This time, everyone saw it!
In the dead of night, could it be a thief? Why would any thief skip the wealthy mansions nearby and steal from a construction site full of poor souls like them?
The men exchanged glances, and with newfound courage, they stepped towards the source of the disturbance.
Just then, from within the withered underbrush, something stirred, and a figure crawled out from the weeds.
Old Zhang and his companions widened their eyes in terror at the sight before them.
"Mother of god! What the hell is that?!" one of the men screamed, turning to bolt.
At that moment, Old Zhang, quick as a flash, grabbed him, whispering, "Don’t run yet, looks like it’s a woman."
A woman? They all blinked in disbelief and once again turned their gaze to the figure in front.
The figure was indeed that of a woman. However, her face and upper body were so decayed they were barely recognizable, and a foul stench wafted from her in waves. She was wearing a silk slip dress with spaghetti straps, and even though these rough men had never seen such a garment, they knew it must be expensive. Despite the decay of her upper body, her smooth, slender legs hinted at how sexy the woman must have been.
This was indeed a real woman!
The men, now somewhat relieved, ogled her pale, shapely legs and swallowed hard. Living at the bottom of society, they’d married the roughest of wives and mingled with the lowest tier of women. Fine-skinned delicacies were beyond their wildest dreams.
