Pokemon: Reborn Rich Alternate Earth Chapter 489

The place where Metagross and Kartana had fought was completely cleared of all obstacles within a kilometer radius due to their battle — trees, rocks, debris, everything had disappeared.

Only a vast, empty clearing was left behind.

And a Charizard with an injured wing was lying weakly on the ground. A large hole could be seen on its wing.

Its eyes glared angrily at the Pokémon a few hundred meters away.

At this moment, Kartana was lying on the ground, eyes closed, its life or death unknown. Its right arm was covered in web-like cracks, as if it might shatter completely at any second.

Charizard: 'If it wasn’t for the plan, I would’ve burned this thing to ashes by now.'

Now that its own trainer was here, was Charizard still supposed to be afraid of this Kartana? What a joke.

As for Kartana, who was lying on the ground and pretending to be asleep, its head was full of those signature cheesy lines Julian had said earlier.

To make it cooperate with the plan, Julian even added a new pretentious line — one that almost made it ascend on the spot.

'There are 3 million sword immortals in the heavens. But even they must bow their heads when they meet me.'

Damn, such an overpowered character—clearly, Julian was talking about himself (Kartana), wasn’t he?

As for playing dead. Well, that's a job it could handle.

And that furious look in Charizard’s eyes? Hah. Just a clown. Next time, if there's a chance, it would definitely chop its head off.

All of this was seen by a Beedrill.

Beedrill didn’t dare get close. After glancing at the scene, it quickly flew away.

Before long, it arrived in front of two humans and used its needle-like arms to write something on the ground.

This Beedrill could actually write.

It was not rare for Pokémon to use human writing, but it required a high level of intelligence.

For example, Pokémon like Alakazam, Slowking, and Metagross were a few.

But Beedrill was definitely not considered highly intelligent, for it to be able to write meant either it had an extraordinary gift, or it had worked extremely hard.

“No danger. Two fainted Pokémon in the area.”

One of the trainers saw the words Beedrill had written and immediately looked delighted.

Judging by the aftermath of the battle just now, the fight had definitely been between two Elite-level Pokémon, and now both had fallen.

Even if they were dead, their corpses would be incredibly valuable treasures.

And if they were alive, that would be even better. Even if the two Pokémon still had some fighting power, in their current state, they wouldn’t be able to put up much resistance.

Now that the situation had been investigated, they needed to move fast before anyone else got there first.

Somewhere in the clearing, Julian and the other four were hiding.

"The Beedrill just now was definitely sent by someone to investigate the situation. That person’s pretty cautious—not coming directly."

Beedrill’s level wasn’t very high, it was only Advanced-level. For a Pokémon of that level to have the guts to enter a battlefield between two Elite-tier Pokémon?

A wild Beedrill would never dare to do that.

This also confirmed Pierce’s guess. About half an hour later, two human Trainers appeared in their field of view.

"Trainers from Malasiar," Ember suddenly said.

Julian asked, puzzled, "How do you know?"

"They’re definitely Trainers from Malasiar. I’ve seen them before," Pierce said.

"Oh, you know them?" Rowan asked.

Pierce nodded. "The one on the left is Imran, and the one on the right is Salman. One specializes in Fire-types, the other in Water-types. Both are mid-tier Elites."

Pierce paused and continued with a sneer: "I killed one of Salman’s Pokémon myself during a mission."

As an elite from the military, Pierce had a wide mission scope—not just limited to domestic work. He’d been to many foreign countries, including the most dangerous wild zone in the world—the Amazon Forest—where he spent over a month.

The two Trainers cautiously approached the battlefield, each accompanied by a Pokémon.

When Imran saw Charizard lying weakly in the distance, his eyes lit up instantly. That was definitely an Elite-level Charizard.

It even looked stronger than his own Charizard.

As a Fire-type Trainer, this Charizard seemed practically made for him.

"You’re really lucky."

Salman said with a hint of jealousy.

Picking up a fallen Elite-level Pokémon that matched your specialty type? That was a dream come true.

"Hahaha, that other unfamiliar Pokémon doesn’t look bad either. Just not sure if it’s dead," Imran pointed at the fallen Kartana lying motionless in the distance.

If it wasn’t for his sharp eyes, he might’ve missed it. The thing was so small.

"This one’s probably a Pokémon unique to this secret realm," Salman said.

They’d already been in this Top-tier secret realm for a day. Naturally, they’d caught a few regional variant Pokémon such as Rattata and Exeggutor which they had never seen before.

And in just one day, they’d already found several valuable treasures.

This secret realm had been one pleasant surprise after another.

It was only the second day, and yet they’d already come across an injured Elite-tier Charizard and an unknown Pokémon lying nearby.

The two didn’t bother carefully checking their surroundings to confirm if there was any danger.

Maybe it was because the sight of an Elite-tier Charizard was too tempting—or maybe they were worried that if they waited too long, Trainers from other countries might arrive after hearing the battle sounds.

So the two of them hurried toward the Charizard.

Their movements were quickly noticed by the Charizard.

Charizard 'struggled' to rise from the ground and let out a deep roar, warning the two not to come any closer.

Its eyes stayed locked warily on the Pokémon by their side.

A Rapidash and a Quagsire—both Elite-tier Pokémon.

“Hahaha, don’t bother resisting. In your condition, you can’t even get off the ground, let alone fight us,” Imran laughed smugly.

He already had a Poké Ball in his hand. This Charizard was badly injured—there was no way it could stand a chance.

And judging from its earlier energy burst, it was probably a mid-tier Elite.

Now his eyes burned even brighter with desire.

Raising a mid-tier Elite Pokémon required a ton of resources.

Now he was about to get one for free? He was practically giddy with joy.

Charizard felt a chill run down its spine under Imran’s heated gaze. What was wrong with this guy—was he some kind of pervert among humans?

Then it glanced over at Kartana still playing dead.

'Why is it the one who got to play dead and not me…?'
