Pokemon: Reborn Rich Alternate Earth Chapter 767

Julian spoke while using the power of Aura to calm David’s emotions. The man was so worked up, he looked almost like he was having a seizure.

Under the soothing effect of Aura, David finally managed to calm down. Slowly, he asked, "You’ve really… become a Champion?"

His tone was even, but he couldn’t hide the excitement and anticipation in his voice.

"Yes, Metagross has already reached the Champion tier," Julian nodded.

So that was why David had been so agitated. Julian had just been about to show off with a casual "it’s nothing special" kind of line—but before he could, he heard David blurt out:

"How did it happen so fast?"

The question slipped out. David was genuinely curious how Julian’s Metagross could cross that gap, going from mid-stage Pseudo-Champion to early-stage Champion in just a little over ten days.

"I had a bit of an extraordinary encounter inside, and Metagross broke through."

Julian repeated the same explanation he had just given Omar.

David nodded, suppressing his curiosity and refraining from asking what exactly that extraordinary encounter had been.

As for that mysterious Pokémon, David didn’t ask about that either. Some things were simply not for him to know.

Once everything was over, he would need to report this matter to the Elder Council as soon as possible.

Julian had become a Champion. That meant Drakoria now had seven Champions in total—two more than Celestria. The gap in strength had now widened significantly.

No wonder Omar had willingly offered an additional ten percent of Pannar’s Top-tier secret realm resources—this was the reason.

With seven Champions, Drakoria would undoubtedly be the unrivaled hegemon. Pannar had no choice but to cling tightly to Drakoria’s coattails.

Giving an extra ten percent of their Top-tier secret realm resources was nothing. If it were any other nation making such an offer, Drakoria might not even accept it.

While Julian and David were talking, Metagross had already defeated Genesect and brought the incapacitated Pokémon back to Julian.

Genesect was utterly heartbroken. It had lost—to a Pokémon whose level was lower than its own.

What’s more, that Pokémon had absorbed its energy to break through to the Champion tier. Yet, it was still stronger—how was that fair?

It looked up at Julian and snorted, "Do whatever you want—kill me, cut me apart, I don’t care."

Its tone carried a strong sense of Kartana’s style—proud and unyielding.

With his ability to communicate with all things, Julian could sense that Genesect no longer held any killing intent toward him. Instead, it was filled mostly with helplessness and bitterness.

It had once been a peak Champion, but now it was reduced to a early-stage Champion, and had been defeated by a Pokémon of a lower level. The bitterness in its heart was almost overflowing.

"I won’t kill you," Julian shook his head.

Before Mew left, it had advised him not to kill Genesect.

Most of the First-class Legendary and Mythical Pokémon were unique—just one of them existing at a time.

However, there were also some unique Mythical and Legendary Pokémon below the First-class Legendary tier.

The most typical examples were the Lake Guardians, as well as Diancie, Victini, Manaphy, and others—all of whom were one-of-a-kind Mythical or Legendary Pokémon.

If they were to die, they were gone for good.

Genesect was one of them.

Although unique Mythical or Legendary Pokémon might not be as powerful as First-class Legendaries, they sometimes held a similar level of significance.

If Julian were to really kill Genesect, there’s no telling what kind of trouble it might stir up.

As for capturing it—that was out of the question. The reason it had ended up in this state was largely because of him. Although Mew had been the one to act, but Julian had reaped all the benefits.

This guy would never submit to him, so trying to capture it would be pointless—the power of its inherent rules would simply destroy the Poké Ball.

Julian had no desire to carry a ticking time bomb around with him.

While its typing suited Julian perfectly, its appearance was frankly quite ugly—not at all to Julian’s taste.

It wasn’t as cool as Lucario, as imposing as Aggron, or as adorably goofy as Arcanine. This thing was just plain ugly.

For that reason alone, even if Genesect wanted to follow him, Julian would have to think twice about keeping it.

After all, if it joined the team, wouldn’t it just drag down the overall aesthetic?

Moreover, after having its energy drained by Mew, its level would be permanently stuck at 92. While that was still decent, Julian couldn’t help but feel a bit disappointed.

Hearing that Julian wouldn’t kill it made Genesect secretly let out a sigh of relief. It had been genuinely worried that this human might be the reckless type, who might actually kill it on a whim.

If that happened, the human definitely wouldn’t come out unscathed either, but in the end Genesect would still be the one dead.

Now Julian was in a dilemma—what should he do with Genesect?

He couldn’t kill it, nor could he capture it. But if he released it, with its personality it would almost certainly throw all of Pannar into chaos.

After all, this was a Pokémon willing to destroy an entire Top-tier secret realm just for a chance at godhood—its nature was extreme to the core.

So leaving it in Pannar was not an option.

'Aghh'—why hadn’t he thought to just ask Mew to take this thing away earlier? With Mew watching over it, Genesect would definitely behave.

Julian looked at Genesect and asked, "If I let you go, what would you do next?"

Genesect didn’t hesitate for even a second: "Of course I’d kill all the annoying humans."

'Damn it'—Julian facepalmed. Was this thing brainless? Did it really think he wouldn’t dare to finish it off here and now?

Murderous intent stirred in Julian’s heart, and his gaze grew cold.

Beside him, Metagross had already raised its claw, ready to smash the head of this disrespectful creature that dared to defy its trainer.

'I gave you a way out, and yet you still have the nerve to be this stubborn.'

Sensing the palpable killing intent radiating from Julian and Metagross, Genesect finally felt a flicker of fear, realizing that it had indeed pushed its luck too far.

It quickly backtracked: "I don’t hate humans anymore! If you let me go, I’ll find a remote secret realm to live out the rest of my days in peace."

'Live out the rest of your days? Can you even die of old age?'

A black line ran down Julian’s face. This guy was really something else—its personality reminded him a bit of Celebi.

But Celebi had only become like that after joining him. Wait, no—that was probably its true nature all along. Staying with him had just allowed that nature to fully emerge.

Perched on top of Julian’s head, Celebi suddenly sneezed.

Celebi: "What were you just thinking?"

Its first thought was that someone was speaking ill of it.

And the first suspect that came to mind? Julian, of course.

Even if Julian hadn’t said anything out loud, he could still be thinking poorly of it in his mind.

Feeling guilty, Julian instinctively replied, "I was just thinking about how cute you are."

But as soon as the words left his mouth, Celebi tugged angrily at his hair and shouted: "See! You were thinking something bad about me! You never call me cute out of the blue!"
