Theodore Holmes handed the phone to Amelia Linton, already on speakerphone, and loudly said into the phone, "Dad! I’ve given the phone to my mom. You can talk to her now."
Because it was deliberate, he didn’t control the volume of his voice at all.
"Amelia Linton! You are truly insane!"
Upon knowing Theodore Holmes had given the phone to Amelia Linton, Fabian Holmes opened his mouth and angrily shouted at her.

With the speakerphone on, Fabian Holmes’s words clearly pierced into Theodore Holmes’s ears. Over the years, he had heard similar words many times, but never like this, never making him feel so moved and warm inside.
Amelia Linton was now so enraged that Fabian Holmes’s threats and warnings only added fuel to the fire.
