Easton Holmes didn't immediately answer Lily Turner's question. Instead, he just stared at her standing in the living room doorway without blinking. Just when she thought he wouldn't talk to her, he suddenly spoke: "Why are you standing so far away? Do you think I'm going to eat you?"
He looked at her half-jokingly, half-seriously, with a faint, teasing smile on his cold, chiseled face.

Lily Turner slowly turned around to look at the man sitting on the sofa, full of reluctance, "Aren't you waiting for me to treat you to a meal? Let's go!"
