Lily Turner didn’t say anything, just looked at Alice Turner who was talking to her. She got into the car with her phone in hand without uttering a single word during the whole process.
Seeing this, Alice Turner quickly got into the car as well. As soon as she got in, Lily Turner’s voice floated over to her, "Sis! Let’s go, to my private apartment."
After saying that, she settled into her seat and picked up her phone, starting to compose a message.
"I don’t know what that woman just said to you, but I think you shouldn’t believe her. She obviously came to stir up trouble." Although Alice didn’t know who that woman was or what she said, she could tell at a glance that the woman came to stir up trouble.
She had only caught a glimpse of the woman, but she made that judgment in her heart.
Lily Turner slowly raised her head, shifting her gaze from her phone to Alice Turner, "Sis! Do you think someone would come to cause trouble for no reason? Why didn’t she go find someone else to bother? Why did she come to find Easton Holmes?"
She wasn’t sure if the other things the woman said were true, but she knew the Scenic Garden Apartments mentioned by the woman did exist.
However, the apartment was now under her name, though she never intended to keep it.
Because that apartment made her feel uneasy. Now, it made her feel even more uncomfortable.
Lily Turner’s questions left Alice Turner in a brief silence, but after a moment, she retorted, "We haven’t figured things out yet, so don’t jump to conclusions."
She didn’t want her sister to do something irrational due to misunderstandings. Although her sister looked calm on the surface, she knew her sister was very confused inside.
This was the time when it was easiest to do something irrational, and she had to ensure her sister didn’t act impulsively.
"Sis! Let’s go quickly."
Lily Turner didn’t continue discussing the topic with Alice Turner and instead urged her to leave. She didn’t want to stay here any longer, as it troubled her.
"Okay, okay! Let’s leave now."
Alice Turner could see the anxiety and impatience in Lily Turner’s heart and chose not to say anything that might provoke her sister further. She settled into her seat.
She started the engine and drove out of the compound.
As she turned the car to leave, she saw that woman getting into a car parked not far away.
She glanced in the rearview mirror and saw that car leaving as well, but heading in the opposite direction.
Lily Turner turned to face the car window, leaning her head against the seat, giving Alice Turner a silent and somewhat sorrowful back view.
Alice Turner knew Lily Turner was in a bad mood, knew her sister needed some time to calm down, so she didn’t say anything to disturb her sister.
The two sisters remained silent throughout the drive.
The elder sister focused on driving, while the younger sister stared blankly out the car window.
This silence persisted until the car came to a stop.
Once the car stopped, Lily Turner was the first to get out, and she walked toward the apartment without checking if Alice Turner was following.
Seeing this, Alice Turner quickly got out and caught up, reaching the apartment entrance alongside Lily Turner who had gotten out first.
Noticing her sister’s face was expressionless, she didn’t dare to speak first, afraid of triggering her sister’s sensitive nerves.
They reached Lily Turner’s apartment door in silence, and when she reached for the keys to unlock the door, she remembered that she had left her bag at their mother’s place. Everything she needed was in that bag.
