Thomas Fisher intentionally hid behind Easton Holmes. When he and his big brother were walking into the courtyard just now, they saw Lily Turner and Alice Turner standing there.
A thought of teasing the two sisters flashed through his mind, and being a man of action, he immediately hid behind his big brother.
Easton Holmes was a bit taller than Thomas Fisher, which provided Thomas with a perfect opportunity to dodge. He followed closely behind Easton Holmes, yet he was always mindful of maintaining the right distance and walking path.
"Hey! Gorgeous ladies!"
As they were about to reach Alice and Lily Turner, Thomas Fisher suddenly jumped out from behind Easton Holmes, waving to greet the two sisters.
Even though they had already seen someone following behind Easton Holmes, Thomas Fisher’s sudden appearance still startled Lily and Alice.
"Is scaring people fun for you?"
Lily expressed her displeasure towards Thomas Fisher, then shifted her gaze to Easton standing beside him, "Why are you here? Is everything settled over there?"
There were quite a few guests at her house tonight, and there should be even more guests at his place. Yet, instead of hosting at his home, he ran over to her place.
Though she was glad he came, she didn’t quite agree with his actions; she thought he should be at home hosting the guests and not leaving everything to his grandfather and uncles.
Even if his grandfather was in good health, with his age, in terms of both physical strength and energy, he certainly couldn’t compare with these young people.
"From the way you’re talking, it sounds like you’re not welcoming me?"
Lily’s thoughts were all written on her face; how could Easton not notice? He intentionally misinterpreted her words just to make her shift her attention and stop worrying about these matters.
Feeling deliberately misunderstood by Easton, Lily expressed her dissatisfaction and retorted, "Which ear of yours heard me say that?"
Damn man! He clearly knew that wasn’t what she meant, yet he deliberately twisted her words. She gave his actions a bad review.
"Both of my ears heard it."
Easton extended his hand to pull Lily to his side. As he held her hand, he gently squeezed it to silently tell her that he was joking and not truly trying to upset her.
Even if Easton hadn’t squeezed her hand, Lily would have known he wasn’t upset, because she saw the amusement in his eyes.
"Big Brother! Sister-in-law! Can you two stop flirting? There are two live people standing here." From Thomas Fisher’s perspective, the interaction between Easton and Lily was pure flirting. He worried that if he didn’t interrupt, who knows what more intimate actions they might take.
He wasn’t easily fazed by such things, but the lady standing next to him didn’t seem as composed. He noticed that this lady had already ducked her head to avoid seeing more.
As soon as Thomas Fisher finished speaking, the gazes of Easton and Lily immediately shifted towards him. Easton replied with dissatisfaction, "Who told you to follow along like a tail? You chose to!"
There wasn’t any politeness in his words, but this lack of politeness was absolutely without any malice.
"Do you think I followed you to be your tail? Wrong! I came to see the beautiful ladies." As Thomas Fisher spoke, he even made an ’X’ gesture with his hands towards Easton, which made Lily and Alice Turner giggle.
Seeing this, he laughed, "See? The beautiful ladies are so happy."
