"Honey! Why did you pout just now?"
After hanging up the phone, Easton Holmes pulled Lily Turner over and asked her about the pout he just saw.
Lily Turner’s little pout was an unconscious action, even she didn’t realize it. Hearing Easton Holmes ask her like this, she was completely puzzled, "When did I pout? Did you see it?"
She looked up at him with a face full of confusion.
"Of course I saw it, just when I was on the phone." Easton Holmes initially thought Lily Turner was pretending to be oblivious on purpose, but seeing her expression, it didn’t seem like an act, and now he was confused.

Lily really didn’t realize she had pouted just now and blamed it all on Easton Holmes seeing things.

"Alright, fine, it was my eyes deceiving me. Can you go to the trunk and get me the flashlight so I can see you clearly?" Easton Holmes pushed Lily towards the trunk, but she dodged to the side, refusing to get it, "Are you crazy? Using a flashlight to see clearly."
She stood her ground, not willing to get it, making him slightly anxious, though it didn’t show on his face.
Lily truly believed Easton wanted her to get a flashlight, but his trunk contained something special, which he couldn’t reveal just yet.
He was planning to use the previous topic to get her to open the trunk, but she refused entirely, and he couldn’t force her.
"Honey! It’s not good to curse, you know."
Easton Holmes reached out to pinch Lily’s cheek, changing his tactic and began coaxing her, "Be good! Listen, go get it, there’s a surprise."
He deliberately added the part about a surprise, just to give a hint to her confused state.
A surprise?!
Lily stared at Easton for a moment, and suddenly her mind flashed back to the events of the afternoon. She instantly recalled something, her face showing disbelief, quickly replaced by delight and a hint of shyness.
"Oh, you tease!"
She playfully smacked him for the suspense, then walked towards the car’s trunk.
Easton Holmes slowly followed her. The moment Lily opened the trunk, he kneeled beside her on one knee.
The trunk was filled with a box of red roses, and among the sea of red flowers, there was a heart made of red LED lights. The heart-shaped light ring lit up as Rosie opened the trunk.
Amid the red lights, she saw a pink box placed at the center of the heart. The box was open, revealing a sparkling diamond ring inside.
"Today, I propose to you with a soldier’s courage and a soldier’s loyalty."
Easton Holmes’s voice suddenly rang beside her. Lily Turner slowly turned her head towards the sound and froze for a moment, "You, you..."
Seeing him kneeling on one knee in front of her, she was so excited that she didn’t know what to say.
"Darling! Let me stand in front of you through all the storms and give you the most secure protection. Please accept my proposal."
Easton Holmes knew Lily Turner was extremely excited now, but wasn’t he as well? Besides excitement, he felt nervous. His voice carried a noticeable tremor, though he wasn’t quite sure what exactly he was nervous about.
