The first ray of morning sunlight streamed through the car window, and the previously dim car interior suddenly became bright.
Lily Turner slowly woke up, habitually rubbing her groggy eyes with her hand. The moment she opened her eyes, she was startled and instantly sat up from the seat.
As soon as she sat up, she realized she was in the car. Only then did she suddenly remember that last night she went to the beach with Easton Holmes and fell asleep on his car on the way back.
"Awake?"
Hearing the man's voice, Lily Turner suddenly turned her head in the direction of the sound to see Easton Holmes reclining in the driver's seat, directly entering her line of sight. He had keenly noticed the moment she woke up.
"Why didn't you wake me up?"
Thinking about how she slept in the same car with a man last night, Lily Turner's mind suddenly recalled the previous two experiences, her cheeks blushing slightly as she slowly turned her head back.
In that moment of turning back, she inadvertently glimpsed the clothing that had fallen onto her lap. She was not unfamiliar with it because she had just worn it last night.
"Because I wanted to see what a big star looks like when she's asleep," Easton Holmes said as he sat up, "The result was quite unexpected, the big star actually drools in her sleep."
Easton Holmes was just joking, but Lily Turner foolishly believed it. She raised her hand to wipe the corner of her mouth, but when her hand touched it, there was no trace of drool.
She frowned and turned sideways to look at the seated man. The wicked smile on his face made her suddenly realize she had been tricked by him.
"Holmes! Do you think it's fun to fool people like this?" She glared at him angrily, but he laughed even more heartily, prompting her to grit her teeth, "Stop laughing! Your teeth aren't even white."
Damned! His teeth were actually so white, like he had a dental makeover.
Easton Holmes suddenly leaned over, scaring Lily Turner, who quickly leaned to the side. He stopped ten centimeters away from her, "Your teeth are pretty white."
"You're crazy!"
This man was indeed infuriating, either fooling her or scaring her. Lily Turner reached out to push the man away from her and picked up the clothing that had fallen onto her lap when she got up, shoving it into the man's arms.
"Thank you for your clothes, goodbye!"
After expressing gratitude and saying goodbye, she turned to open the car door and got out, not even glancing back at him in the car as she hurried toward the hotel entrance.
Even though Easton Holmes felt a bit displeased with Lily Turner's disregard, he didn't roll down the window to argue with her.
He sat quietly in the driver's seat, watching her walk toward the hotel entrance, and only retracted his gaze after seeing her enter the hotel.
Without pausing for a moment, he started the engine and drove away from the hotel she was at.
Just as Easton Holmes's car left, Jenny York emerged from a nearby corner, holding a DSLR camera in her hand.
She glanced in the direction the car departed, then turned her gaze to look at the hotel entrance.
When her gaze finally returned to the camera in her hands, a smile appeared on her face, but it looked so strange and sinister.
"Lily Turner! If you make things hard for me, then don't expect things to be easy for you either." Jenny York looked venomously at the hotel where Lily Turner was, holding the DSLR camera as she left.
