Julian Campbell had just finished speaking when he saw Charles Seymour looking at him as if he were an idiot.
"Haha... um, Aunt wants to watch my concert, haha..." Julian sheepishly scratched his head and smiled awkwardly.
After speaking, he wished he could slap himself.
That excuse was just too dumb.
This kind of thing... well, if his cool uncle would actually do something , it would be easier to believe the sun rises in the west.
Julian took a gulp of water to calm his nerves, letting his thoughts run wild even scared himself.
"Yeah, I’m accompanying her."
Julian spat out his drink, coughing as he stared incredulously at the nonchalant Charles Seymour. What did he just say?
He accompanied someone?
Has the world turned upside down?
Since when does Charles Seymour accompany anyone?
Charles looked disdainfully at the coughing, drooling Julian, frowning. What’s so likable about someone like that?
Charles’s eyes darted, quickly taking out his phone, snap.
Julian exclaimed, "Uncle, why are you taking my picture?"
"You’re busy, I’m leaving." Charles nonchalantly put his phone back into his pocket and turned to leave.
"Uncle, my mom has always been worried about you." Having finally met Charles, Julian quickly spoke up.
Charles paused for a moment and replied, "I’m fine."
"Uncle..." Julian wanted to say more, but Charles gave him no chance and was already walking away.
Julian didn’t chase after him; he just scratched his head and mumbled to himself, "Yeah, with those two disgusting things at home, if it were me, I wouldn’t want to go back either."
After Charles was sent off by the manager with a smile, the manager turned around and ran to Julian for comfort, "Who was that gentleman? So intimidating, could he be a delinquent?"
"What are you talking about?" Julian scolded, "My uncle used to be from the safety training camp."
"Wow," the manager exclaimed, "from there!"
The safety training camp trains people to protect citizens and national property, and everyone there is top-notch.
That kind of aura, it’s not something ordinary people have.
"Of course!" Julian has always been proud of his uncle, puffing his chest proudly.
"Then why were even you scared?" The manager’s words froze Julian’s smug smile as he muttered dejectedly, "My uncle just has that kind of strong presence..."
Couldn’t see Julian’s uncle’s tender affection for the woman beside him?
Embarrassed by the manager’s disdain, Julian awkwardly rubbed his nose. How was he supposed to know his uncle would act out of character?
Hey, this matter should be reported to his mom!
"Let’s go, let’s go." The manager, seeing it was about time, urged Julian to leave.
Just as they reached the parking lot, someone called out, "Julian!"
The familiar voice gave Julian goosebumps—utterly disgusting.
"Why is she still here?" Julian asked irritably, looking at the manager beside him.
The manager was also close to losing it; he knew Julian couldn’t stand this person, so why did she insist on clinging to him?
This is just pushing Julian to explode!
"Julian, let’s go together," Ophelia Wilson approached with a smile like a blooming flower, speaking familiarly.
"I am not familiar with you," Julian replied coldly, clearly unwilling to engage in conversation with her.
