Sophie Wilson hadn’t reacted yet when her wrist was suddenly grabbed tightly. By the time she realized, she was already shielded behind Charles Seymour.
And hanging onto Charles Seymour was a person.
It really wasn’t an exaggeration; that person was clinging onto Charles Seymour using both hands and feet, just like a koala.
"Oh my, Charles, I’ve missed you so much."
Such a coquettish voice instantly gave Sophie Wilson goosebumps.
Charles Seymour’s forehead veins bulged. He raised his hand, grabbed the person by the collar, and yanked them off hard, tossing them aside like trash.
"Uncle Warren, don’t let trash in next time!" Charles Seymour ordered the butler with a black face.
Uncle Warren responded with a smile, "Yes, sir."
"Hey... Charles Seymour, you’re being too heartless, aren’t you? How can you call me trash? I’ve come all this way just to see you..." The newcomer’s curious gaze fell on Sophie Wilson, but it only lingered for a second before Charles Seymour quickly blocked it.
"So stingy." The man snorted and reached past Charles Seymour, offering his hand to Sophie Wilson, "Beautiful lady, hello, I’m Kai Bright. Nice to meet you."
"She’s not pleased to meet you." Charles Seymour frowned tightly. Didn’t he know Kai Bright’s nature?
This bastard was definitely here to stir up trouble.
"Am I really that unbearable?" Kai Bright looked at him with a bit of frustration after being said so by Charles Seymour, "Beautiful lady, what do you think? I’m not that scary looking, right?"
Kai Bright was truly being too modest with those words.
Not only was he not scary, but he was actually quite handsome.
But unlike Charles Seymour’s ruggedness, he had the charm of a dashing gentleman, especially those flirtatious eyes that blinked gently at Sophie Wilson, practically electrifying.
Fortunately, Sophie Wilson was already attached to someone, and was only stunned by his appearance for a moment without becoming infatuated.
"You go rest first, I’ll talk with him." Charles Seymour grabbed Kai Bright by the collar and dragged him upstairs.
"Hey, hey... I say, why are you so rough? Let me tell you, being so rough is..." The sound of a door slamming shut completely cut off Kai Bright’s rambling.
Sophie Wilson couldn’t help but laugh out loud. This person must be a really good friend of Charles Seymour’s. Otherwise, anyone who dared to act so wanton in front of him would have been beaten to a pulp long ago.
Inside the study, Kai Bright quickly dodged backwards to avoid Charles Seymour’s incoming fist. Who would’ve thought, Charles Seymour had already prepared another move and immediately kicked out.
Kai Bright reacted swiftly, quickly bending his leg to block it.
"Ow ow ow..." Kai Bright was kicked away, tumbling directly onto the nearby sofa, hugging his calf while grimacing in pain so much that cold sweat almost broke out.
"My leg’s almost broken," Kai Bright hissed, complaining.
"I should break it," Charles Seymour glared at him with a stern face.
"I just came by suddenly. It’s not like it’s the first time. Why are you reacting so strongly this time?" Kai Bright teased with a laugh, "Could it be because I’m too handsome, and you’re worried I’ll steal your goddess?"
Charles Seymour’s face darkened, and the temperature in the study suddenly dropped.
"Oh gosh!" Kai Bright swiftly propped himself up with one hand and flipped away from his spot.
At the same time he dodged, Charles Seymour’s kick swept across fiercely.
Even though he wasn’t hit directly, the gust of wind brought with the kick made Kai Bright’s skin sting.
