The couple, with the woman holding a bag in one hand and pulling a suitcase with the other, had an angry expression and hurriedly walked ahead with urgency.
The man behind her, wearing glasses, pulled a suitcase and chased after her.
It was apparent that the couple was not in a good mood, and it seemed like the woman was more dominant.
The woman was the first to reach Mr. Zhang. Suppressing her anger, she promptly apologized: "I’m sorry, Mr. Zhang, for making everyone wait."
Since the situation was already like that, Mr. Zhang had nothing more to say, only responding, "Try not to make everyone wait in the future." He then turned to greet everyone: "Alright, let’s enter the station and board the train."
The woman quickly said to Wan Chu’er and the others: "Sorry to keep everyone waiting, I’m Li Jia, please take good care of me."
Yang Fan ignored her and followed Mr. Zhang into the station first. The others nodded indifferently and quickly followed Mr. Zhang.
Li Guohui warmly offered to Mai Qiqi and Wan Chu’er: "Do you need help carrying your luggage?"
Wan Chu’er had a large suitcase and a backpack, fully capable of handling them herself and thus she shook her head in refusal.
Mai Qiqi unapologetically handed Li Guohui a bag, to which he exaggeratedly responded: "I was just being polite, and here you really take me up on that."
Mai Qiqi laughed: "I don’t know what politeness is."
The three of them laughed and followed into the station. Behind them, Li Jia bit her lip and, paying no attention to her boyfriend’s quiet pleas, also headed inside.
Once on the train, Wan Chu’er and Mai Qiqi sat together, with Li Guohui sitting cheerfully across from them.
This caused Yang Fan, sitting beside Mr. Zhang, to scoff with contempt, but the three of them ignored him.
After Li Jia boarded, she looked at the seats and sat next to Li Guohui, across from Mai Qiqi.
Li Guohui joked: "Why don’t you sit with your boyfriend?"
Li Jia responded: "Since we three are girls, naturally we should sit together."
Li Jia’s boyfriend, who came last, glanced around, placed their luggage on the storage rack, and again apologized to everyone, introducing himself; his name is Huang Zhao, and he is Li Jia’s classmate.
Huang Zhao looked at Li Guohui, and, seeing no intention of giving up the seat, sat down on a seat across the aisle.
The train soon got moving.
Li Guohui laughed: "We almost missed the train."
This comment again embarrassed Li Jia, leading her to apologize to everyone once more. After apologizing, she glared at Huang Zhao, seeming to blame him for their lateness.
Mr. Zhang advised everyone: "When we’re on the road, we need to help and support each other, safety first. Always inform me before going anywhere, and if I’m not around, then..."
He glanced at a few people, then pointing at Zhou Weining, continued: "I temporarily appoint Zhou Weining as our team leader. Before any action, report to me or Zhou Weining, and try not to act alone."
Hearing Mr. Zhang’s words, the others were fine and responded with a smile, only Yang Fan, beside Mr. Zhang, was unhappy. He pursed his lips but ultimately said nothing, feeling he was more capable, even deserving to be the team leader.
After Mr. Zhang’s instruction, he then suggested with a smile: "We’re all probably not familiar with each other much. Let’s all introduce ourselves. After all, we’ll be spending a month together."
