“This is my home, and you are not welcome here; now get out,” Madam Xie retorted after regaining her composure, putting down the kitchen knife with a displeased look on her face.
This woman, not only had she destroyed her family, but she had also almost brought harm to Xuexue. Every time she saw her, Madam Xie was filled with anger, and she was anything but polite in her words.
“Oh, now that you’ve made some money, you’ve grown a spine.”
Auntie Sun was incredibly envious. Back when Madam Xie was at the Mo’s, she never dared to speak to her loudly. But now that she had become wealthy, the head of the richest family in Mo Family Village, even the way she spoke had changed, filled with so much more confidence; she was no longer the same meek Madam Xie from before.
That morning, Auntie Sun had personally seen Xuexue and Big Bull head up the mountain, which gave her the courage to come cause a scene; if Big Bull had been around, she wouldn’t have dared to come, not even if she were given the courage of ten large jars.
“Answer me, did you teach Xuexue that damned girl to spread nasty rumors about me?” Auntie Sun stepped forward aggressively and forcefully pushed Madam Xie.
Madam Xie stumbled, nearly falling over: “Aunt Sun, do not push me too far.”
“What if I do? Do you think you, a yellow-faced wife, can compare to me?” Auntie Sun declared arrogantly, looking down at Madam Xie with contempt in her eyes.
Her patience now exhausted with the bullying, Madam Xie retorted, “Stealing Mo Xiaoqiang away from me did you no good, with your current reputation, he’s bound to divorce you sooner or later.”
No sooner had Madam Xie finished speaking than she was struck across the face by a vicious slap from Aunt Sun: “I am in this state today because of your daughter, and you still have the audacity to boast about it? Do you believe I won’t beat you to death?”
