They froze in their steps, slowly turned around, and saw a splendid large tiger with a gaping maw less than a meter behind them, glaring at them with murderous eyes.
The Old Maids shivered all over, stepping back several paces in retreat.
They had not gone to the main gate to welcome the General that morning, but through other Maids, they knew that Xuexue had entered the General’s Mansion riding a fierce tiger. At the time, they didn’t take it seriously, thinking those Maids were making a fuss over nothing–a country Maid couldn’t possibly ride a fierce tiger, and it was probably a water buffalo in disguise.
Now, seeing this majestic tiger in person, they trembled with fear. Oh dear! This was indeed a genuine splendid tiger.
Looking at its gaping jaws, it seemed as if it wanted to eat them.
The two Old Maids who had captured Madam Xie released her out of shock.
Madam Xie took the chance to run into the courtyard.

Then, it moved its thick legs and approached one of the Old Maids, flipping her over with a paw to face it.
The Old Maid opened one eye and took a sneak peek. The tiger was inches away, which frightened her soul out of her body: “Don’t eat me, don’t eat me, my meat isn’t tasty, it’s tough, and there’s not much of it.”
Xuexue added chillingly, “No matter, even if there’s little meat on your bones, the few of you together should suffice for a full meal for Qi Miao.”
