"Uncle, what do you mean by that?" Wu Tang, clenching his fists to suppress the annoyance within him.
This was not his original plan, he was not meant to be caught in such an intricate plan, but he had been cheated.
"What sort of question is that? It is unclear to me why I think this was a conspiracy between you and my daughter," mentioning that, he directed a sharp glare towards Tang Mei who shrank back in fear.
"My daughter has been defiled by you, no one will want to get married to her, she is still young, should she live an unmarried life because of the mistake caused by you both?" Tang Jun questioned.
"Fine Uncle, I will do as you said, I will get married to your daughter, you can take care of the marriage preparations," Wu Tang had no other choice than to agree.
If he didn’t, his name could be dragged through the mud, but he felt unsatisfied.
For the umpteenth time, his eyes met with Li Qiang, who was obviously enjoying the show.
He knew his cover had been blown just by this action that had been taken by Li Qiang.
But he was confused about one particular thing, how did Li Qiang find out about his plans, and was able to overturn it within a few minutes.
He sighed, deciding to investigate the issue. He could not let this issue go by.
"Let’s go," Li Qiang said to the two ladies. They had already found out what the outcome was, so it was best to leave, after all, the fun was over.
Xin Yan nodded, and the three left the room, followed by the guests who had come just to watch the show.
Tang Jun shook his head before storming out of the room.
"What happened? Is this your plan? To humiliate me? I thought it was Li Qiang who was meant to be in the room, then why are you here? You made me lose face, and most importantly, I have lost my dad’s trust," once they left, Tang Mei began her questions.
"Will you be quiet?" He yelled, feeling a headache by her incessant questioning.
She shuddered by his shout, swallowing immediately.
"You are right when you say Li Qiang was meant to be in my position, but when I brought you to the room, I felt someone hit my head, thereafter, everything became blank, and I had no idea when I got onto you," Wu Tang explained with a sigh.
He had a profound look in his eyes as he thought about what had happened.
"Do you think he found out about our plans?" Tang Mei queried.
"I also thought about that, but I have no idea how he found out, the plan was foolproof, the room was filled with drug incense, and he would have done to you what I did, but the tables turned on us," Tang Jun was really in a bad mood.
"My father is annoyed with me, I had mentioned Li Qiang’s name, everyone will know that it was nothing more than a conspiracy,
Even if my father tries to stop the news, there are still some families on par with us, and they will spread the news," Tang Mei was worried about this particular issue
She had already told her father that she was a changed person, but he just had to catch her doing this shameful act.
She had no reason not to think that all the fatherly love he had for her had disappeared.
"Just be calm, I decided to marry you, didn’t I?" Wu Tang was irritated by her constant complaints.
"Will you allow this marriage to go through?" She asked. She could not see herself getting married to him, she feared that she might end up dead if she really did get married to him.
"Just sit back and watch," again, Wu Tang was not willing to share his plans with her, and this got her angry immediately.
"That is enough, you did not share your plans with me, and it resulted in us being found out, and now you would rather not tell me your next plans, do I look like your subordinate?
I am your partner, so I am entitled to know what you have planned," Tang Mei vented out her feelings, and she breathed out, feeling relieved that she had said what she felt within.
Wu Tang looked at her, scoffed, before leaving the bed. His actions caused her to be at a loss for words.
He put on his clothes, he had to apologize for the outcome of today’s banquet. He had lost all face here, and that too on his debut.
As he exited the room, he was in deep thought, but it all came to one conclusion, he was not going to spare Li Qiang.
He felt that there was a mole in his team, and that was the first thing he had to do, to discover the mole.
Once he found out who the person was, he was hot going to spare them at all.
He descended the stairs, and he frowned, noticing how empty the hall looked. There were still people around, but the majority had already left for their homes.
He spotted Li Qiang and Xin Yan, and his frown deepened. He wondered what they were still doing in his home, especially after finding out everything was a massive conspiracy.
Furthermore, he suppressed the numerous questions in his mind, before walking towards them.
"Mr and Mrs. Li!" He called out, and the couple turned to look at him.
Li Qiang raised his eyebrows, wondering what he had for them.
"I sincerely apologize for what took place here today, it was not my intention to make anyone feel embarrassed, I have no idea that we will be filmed," Wu Tang apologized, it was not sincere, and they knew this much.
"We are alone here, why do you have to pretend, aren’t you tired of the mask you have to put on every day?" Xin Yan could not hold back questioning him with her hands folded.
She felt irritated by his presence, and it took all of her to not land a slap on his face.
"So you know," as expected, Wu Tang’s pitiful look was replaced with an arrogant look.
