Alex Latham pointed at Ivy Willis, whose face changed drastically. She quickly shook her head, stepped back, and explained anxiously.
"No, it has nothing to do with me, don’t frame me." Ivy Willis screamed.
"It was you. You clearly told me to beat up Bella Green to vent your anger, and even gave me ten thousand bucks."
The job doesn’t pay much, but at least it’s stable.
In this line of work, though he’s just a minor actor, he’s familiar enough to get roles wherever he goes, earning a few thousand bucks a month.
But if his reputation gets ruined, he won’t be able to get gigs in the future, which would cut off his livelihood.
He was just greedy for Ivy Willis’s ten thousand bucks before, but ten thousand bucks isn’t worth sacrificing his future.
"Alex Latham, stop talking nonsense, what does this have to do with me? Clearly, you shamelessly tried to pin this on me, thinking I won’t sue you for defamation?"
Ivy Willis was terrified; she never expected Alex Latham to suddenly turn around and bite her.
Even more unexpected was that things were nearly successful, yet somehow this happened?
The swarm of critters was prepared by Jasper to scare Gabriel Blake for a later scene, since special effects are still immature domestically and would look fake, so Bryce Xavier just had some non-poisonous ones brought in for real props.
But weren’t these things locked in a box? How did they suddenly escape?
"What’s going on? Why does it involve Ivy Willis?"
"Could it be payback for that last incident?" Some started indulging in conspiracy theories.
Upon hearing this, Ivy Willis’s face changed dramatically, and she yelled sharply.
"Don’t talk nonsense, why would I want payback against a minor actor like him?" In her agitation, she spoke her mind.
That comment insulting minor actors offended many present.
In a drama set, compared to main actors and staff, walk-ons are the largest group.
One can imagine how many people Ivy Willis offended with that one comment.
"Damn it, what’s the deal, belittling minor actors? Without them, would you perform solo? What the hell are you acting?" Someone voiced their displeasure immediately.
"Who does Ivy Willis think she is, just someone squeezing onto the fourth-tier with looks? Her acting is shit, yet she has the nerve to talk?"
"If you look down on walk-ons, have the guts not to act with them next time."
"Ha, and calling Bella Green a minor actor? Her acting leaves Ivy Willis in the dust, does she not get it?"
Ivy Willis hadn’t thought that such a simple remark would arouse public anger. Looking at the crowd attacking her, Ivy felt deeply resentful.
This group of lousy walk-ons really think they’re something?
"Director, I really didn’t do it, how could I possibly have done such a thing? It really has nothing to do with me; it’s Alex Latham trying to shirk responsibility onto me." Ivy Willis turned to Bryce Xavier, continuing to explain.
"But, I have no grudge against Alex Latham. Why would he do this?" Bella Green tilted her head, looking puzzled as she asked.
As soon as she spoke, she glanced Ivy Willis up and down, looking innocent and pitiful: "Even if I accidentally hit your sore spot last time, you shouldn’t harm me ? After all, last time I was just reading lines."
The young girl’s serious demeanor infuriated Ivy Willis, her eyes turned red.
"Exactly, exactly. I have no grudge against Bella Green. If it weren’t for your coercion and bribery, why would I have done something ?" Alex Latham immediately chimed in.
