Chapter 45: Brazenly Shameless
Pullan directly took the real estate agent from Flora to the reception room on the second floor of the Piers’ old mansion.
Abigail briefly explained her requirements and handed the card to the other party. At this moment, Housekeeper Piers walked in, “Miss Green, your father is looking for you downstairs.”
“Go ahead,” Abigail trusted the person Pullan had found. After saying this, she stood up, “Thank you, Housekeeper Piers, I’ll go down now.”
Yesterday, after Lincoln Green sent that uncompromising message and received no response, he called Abigail several times, but no one answered. He asked around and confirmed that Abigail was indeed at the Piers’ old mansion. After enduring a night, he still came to find her.
Abigail went downstairs just as Elder Piers stood up, “Boss Green, you can chat with Abigail. I’ll go check on Teddy.”
Housekeeper Piers hurriedly accompanied Elder Piers upstairs.
Suddenly, the entire first-floor living room of the Piers’ house was left with only Abigail and Lincoln Green.
Neither of them spoke until Elder Piers’ figure disappeared at the stairs. Lincoln Green slapped Abigail.
Abigail, though plump, was no longer just reborn into the body. Her soul and body had already integrated. After feeding the baby these past few days, she would take time to practice the Tai Chi she had learned in her previous life while Teddy slept to improve her body’s flexibility.

Don’t you know your sister will get engaged to Master Brandon in June? Now you’re here working for the Piers family, where does that leave your sister, and where does that leave the face of our Green family?”
“You worry too much, Father. The Piers family only wanted someone to take care of the baby. As for face, weren’t you aware of how Ruby got engaged to Master Brandon? Did you ever think Abigail was so important to the Green family to affect its reputation? When Ruby plotted against Master Brandon and sent the child to the Piers family immediately after birth, and teamed up with the media to create public opinion to force the engagement, there was no face left.”
Lincoln Green laughed angrily. How could he not know that this daughter had become so sharp-tongued!
The obedience and sensibility before had been a fa?ade!
Now she had become arrogant and conceited just because she had three million dollars. Didn’t she realize whether this money was really hers from the Piers family!
“I see you’ve really grown a backbone. Give me the card.” Lincoln Green ordered, didn’t even bother to beat around the bush.
He just couldn’t believe that without money, his daughter could still be so arrogant and proud.
Abigail thought she had heard wrong, looking up in disbelief at the middle-aged man in front of her.
From Abigail’s memories, she knew that Lincoln Pharmaceuticals, backed by the Piers family and with several of Mrs. Swift’s patents, had a certain market share in Gills City and even nationwide.
It couldn’t be said to be enormously wealthy, but it definitely could be called a wealthy family.
Now blatantly robbing his daughter’s money, what a father indeed.
“I don’t understand what you mean.” Abigail looked at Lincoln Green, whose face was flushed with anger, and asked sarcastically.
“The card the Piers family gave you! Did you really think the Piers family would spend so much money on a nanny? This is because of the Green family’s face. Since you are so disobedient, don’t ever think about relying on the Green family again.”
Lincoln Green’s righteous words made Abigail want to laugh. Nowadays, being shameless could be so justified.
