Since I can’t sleep anyway, I might as well brush up on some knowledge.
Han Yi couldn’t sleep either. He turned over and picked up one of Lin Wan’s exam papers to read, "Do you have confidence?"
Lin Wan squinted and smiled, "Of course. I think I can get in with ease."
"Having confidence is all that matters."
Lin Wan’s smile faded, and she looked up at Han Yi and said, "If I get into the night university, it’ll be four years. Do you have any objections?" My brother said the three-year ones are only vocational diplomas, but four years will get a university degree.
"I have no objections, as long as you can stick with it."
"Thank you for your understanding."
"These days, there’s a high demand for talented people, especially college graduates. Speaking of which, I only graduated high school. Such a diploma affects our chances for promotion later. Last year, the team mentioned organizing a study group. If there are any openings, we might be able to attend a military regional school." Han Yi envied those in his team who attended the military school, but he never regretted joining the army back then.
"If you have the opportunity, you should seize it. I support you attending the military school’s program too."
Han Yi’s deep eyes had a hint of a smile as he looked at Lin Wan, "Thank you."
He felt mostly moved in his heart, happy to have married such an understanding wife.
"There’s no need to say those things between us." Lin Wan lowered her head and smiled, slightly blushing.
"Marrying you is my blessing, really. I’m very happy today." Han Yi smiled happily.
Lin Wan glanced at him, finding him a bit silly at the moment, but then she also lowered her head and chuckled to herself. Afterward, she looked up, stared at him, and said earnestly, "Han Yi, marrying you is the happiest decision of my life. It’s my greatest wish."
Han Yi smiled, reached out to hold her hand, and didn’t say a word.
Han Yi spoke truthfully. Initially, when he chose Lin Wan, it was merely because he was fond of her and thought they were compatible. As he spent more time with her, his once-cold heart began to warm. Staying around Lin Wan longer, he feared it wouldn’t be long before he melted completely.
However, looking at the exam papers beside her suddenly made him feel dizzy. What was supposed to be a beautiful moment was ruined by these exam papers she was holding.
But he didn’t say anything. Tomorrow was an important day for Lin Wan, and he was also nervous for her.
He lowered his head to pick up her exam paper, glanced over it, only to find it not as challenging. Even after so many years without touching this stuff, he still remembered it all.
"Is there any part you find challenging? Maybe I can help."
"Yes, there are a few points I’m not very familiar with." Having gone through a lifetime, Lin Wan had forgotten a lot, and she truly spent quite a bit of time learning anew. As she spoke, she located a question she was puzzled about on one of her exam papers and pointed it out to him.
Han Yi took it, glanced at it for a few moments, and analyzed the question for her in under two minutes.
Sometimes, when Lin Wan didn’t understand, she’d ask her brother. But since her brother was usually busy at school, she thought night school exams shouldn’t be too strict, so she wasn’t too nervous. However, after talking with Han Yi, she suddenly felt anxious.
Even though she had managed to get into college once, in just a few short years, if she couldn’t even pass the night school exam, it’d really be embarrassing. Especially since she had just married into the family, Han Yi’s aunt was waiting to make fun of her, so she had to strive hard and not disgrace herself or Han Yi.
