Chapter 8: Core
It is too strange, why we haven't met any other squad in labyrinth? Is everyone sent to different-different labyrinth? No, if that would be truth so—how we met Ren? Does everyone cleared labyrinth before us? How is it possible? Something is very suspicious about this labyrinth... I can't even trust these ghouls, I will definitely kill them if they did anything suspicious.
Leon was deep in his thoughts—thinking that the third floor is very silent than other two floors and that's what making him feel something is strange. They explored more of the floor and found nothing but just skeletons.
"Selene, why are you with us?" Asked leon with a serious expression.
"What do you mean by that?" Selene with a nervous smile.
"What's your goal? What are you trying to achieve?" Leon gives them a serious gaze.
"Nothing, hehe", Raze was looking nervous too.
"I don't know what your Goal is, but if you tried to block our way....I will kill you both... Mere Ghouls".
"Leo, don't be so mean to them", Hiroshi tried to calm Leon down.
Selene looked up and lost in deep thoughts, her expressions were unreadable. Then after a moment she breaks her silence,
"Our Goal is to...find the Core". Raze looked at her and said in low voice, "Don't reveal it!" But Selene gives him a smile, "We will get nothing by hiding it, we are just Mere Ghouls"
Here goes the sarcasm, Leon asked "What you mean by Core?"
"Core is the Heart of this labyrinth, if we reached there so we can go back to our World." Said Selene.
"We are not from this World—In our world, there was a great disaster going on which created ghouls and we are not siblings, we were couple and was trying to protect ourselves and our kids from ghouls in that disaster...but we got transformed into them and...and ate our own kids." Said Raze, tears started rolling down his cheeks.
"So how you reached this World?" Asked Ren, who was at first scared by them but now he is feeling pity for them.
"We suddenly get teleported here out of nowhere—but after staying here more than decades. We find out that if we reached the core so we can go back to our world." Said Selene.
"What will you even do there?, you already lost your kids and there is a disaster going on." Said Leon.
"There is a king of Ghouls there, if we defeated it so everyone will convert back into humans. We will not get our kids back but...we will protect our world because now we are very strong—thanks to the years of training and magic powers we got here." Said Raze.
"I got a question, if she is your wife. So why the hell you proposed me?!" Said Kami.
"Oh, you are going to accept it?!" Said Raze.
"Hell nah" said Kami.
Selene smacked his head and glare at him, "oh, thank you for reminding me. I was already pissed at him for that. You will get special treatment after they all will leave" gives him a deadly Smirk.
"We will help you find Core" Leon offered them. Everyone looks at him in surprise, "No, you don't have to do that much for us. Remember only 5 hours are left", said Selene.
"You help us in fights, this will be our payback" Leon smiles.
Selene and Raze both looks at him and,
"Thank you, you are scary sometime but—you are a very kind person."
Suddenly, a scene displayed infront of him— Killing of many peoples, their cry, their scream, their blood, their flesh, their curse and their Fear. All displayed infront of him, me? And a kind person? Smiles.
