On the bed, the Elf Maiden and the White-haired Maiden were still asleep, one on each side, leaving a spot in the middle for him.

But every night, she would shift to his spot as she slept, and Shami, to avoid rolling off the bed, had to sleep in the middle.
Now, looking at the sleeping forms of the two maidens, Shami felt a warmth inside.
Slowly getting onto the bed, he pulled back the little foot of the White-haired Maiden by the bed.
