Without a doubt, Magnus and Lucas were rivals who were at each other's throats due to their close proximity. And Magnus definitely lost in every fight against Lucas due to the Star Falls City predicament.

"I've heard that you constructed a rather unique Training Hall and employed quite a few veteran mercenaries." He continued, casually slipping in how he knew every move of Xu Feng.
"That is correct," Xu Feng smiled lightly. "The Training Hall is designed to train the players which you identify as Immortals."
"Oho, but I doubt that was it, right?" Amused, Magnus leaned his arms on his desk. "From my recollection, there isn't just a training space in the building."
Since Magnus had implied it this way, Xu Feng also stopped trying to conceal the matter.
With a carefree expression, Xu Feng crossed his legs and leaned back on the chair.
"Heh, Magnus is really perspective. Indeed, the Training Hall has another layer that allows arena combat." He confessed with a straight face. Arena combat was a special type of building that utilized formation and runes to create an environment that ensured the combatants within the arena wouldn't lose their lives.
Of course, this was only the benefits of those belonging to the Divine World whereas players had another type of benefit. Players could go all out and demonstrate their combat power without worrying about any death penalty or experience points losses.

"Since you confessed that your new Training Hall has an arena combat environment. I'm sure you know that it goes against policy and rules, right?" Magnus suddenly said, his tone somewhat chilly.
"I can drop this matter if you convert or destroy the arena combat in time. Consider it a reward for your work."
The comical and friendly atmosphere quickly shifted in an intense manner, with Magnus clearly leaking out his aura to warn Xu Feng. Just because he did something great for the city and contributed a lot, that didn't mean he could do whatever he wanted.

"Are you seriously testing my patience, Lin Feng?"

"Listen up, Baron Lin Feng. I command you as the City Magistrate of Star Falls City to revoke the arena combat. Otherwise, the building would be banned and the land would be retrieved for violating the laws." He raised his voice and threatened.
Magnus thought such a threat would work and he would then proceed to offer something else as reward to pacify him. After all, he couldn't just make Xu Feng feel bitter about it which could dampen his motivation to improve the city.
However, he never would have thought that Xu Feng not only didn't care for the threat but even returned the favor.
"If my building gets banned, then I'll be so depressed that I will probably go to the Arcane Vein and cry. I am easily embarrassed so I can't let people watch me cry either. Therefore, entry to Arcane Vein will be banned until my emotion is fixed, but I don't know how long it will be. It could take 1 minute, 1 hour, 1 day, 1 year, or even more." Xu Feng said in a bittersweet tone.
"You dare?" Magnus slammed his palm at the desk angrily. Never once did he expect a lowly Baron to ever threaten him— at his very office as well.
Despite Magnus' fury, Xu Feng remained calm and relaxed. "Of course, I don't dare, but if I'm left with no other choice. What can I do? Maybe I should just migrate over to the city that City Magistrate Lucas controls."
Instantly, Magnus was rendered speechless when the name, Lucas, was brought up.
'For someone like Lucas… he will definitely construct many arena combats for Lin Feng and whatever it takes to poach him away to his city.' Magnus thought to himself.
It was only now that Magnus realized he had been played for a fiddle.
Lucas wouldn't be disheartened or infuriated by the ploy that Xu Feng had done to him, given he was the type to value profit and benefit over anything else.
