As the three loud shrieks of screams reverberated through the battlefield, Herald Fist's eyes widened in astonishment.
Night Coin's mouth was left agape as well.
They had just thought they could have used the opportunity to assist elsewhere, but that bright beam just obliterated the trio.
"No offense, Fist. But what's your zodiac?" Night Coin asked, feeling that he was a complete jinx and bad luck.
The one exception of the failure in the trio's performance actually happened. And it was timed almost exactly after Herald Fist confidently boasted it was fine.
Meanwhile, Herald Fist was too angry to respond to Night Coin. Everyone had been tasked to do their duty, so how could there be an attack from elsewhere?
"Which bastard failed to control their side of the map?" Herald Fist roared in fury.
However, in the very next second, the fury in his expression seemed to be doused in a bucket of cold water.
"Apologies, but the two Colossus on my side suddenly merged into one."
Indeed, the source of that deadly attack came from none other than Xu Feng.
"Honorary Elder Cool Wind?" Herald Fist's body trembled when he realized the source of the culprit. As much as he wanted to reprimand him, he couldn't find a proper reason.
Just the mere fact that he was handling two Colossus was lifting a lot of pressure on their side. But he also couldn't accept the situation as it was.
Those trios were one of his trump cards and the face of the sponsor.
Who would want to sponsor them anyway when they received news they got obliterated because of a third party?
"My condolences. I shall take the aggro now that my cooldown is up." Amidst Herald Fist's bewilderment, Night Coin lightly patted his shoulders and said.
It was a sincere condolence, given that Night Coin would have been absolutely stunned if his people got killed by the Vanguard Guild Honorary Elder in such a manner.
There was nothing you could do about it.
"You go tank it now." Herald Fist pointed at the Colossus and told Night Coin.
He then turned to the healers at the backline. "Healers, come over here and revive the trios!"
Sometime later, the trio were revived, and Herald Fist had no choice but to send a message to Gentle Wind.
Herald Fist: Beware of the Honorary Elder. The Colossus on his side is outrageous and could be blasting to your area. My three-tank trio got wiped out in an instant.
Gentle Wind: You sure have your karma returned.
Herald Fist: ???!! I was being generous.
Gentle Wind: So was I. If you didn't remind me, then I would have spread this news everywhere.
As soon as Herald Fist read the message, his eyes narrowed coldly. 'Damn it, when did she have a spy infiltrate my elite team?'
All his elite team members were screened properly before giving the rank.
Yet some of them still seemed to have slipped through and got in. The worst part was that he didn't know who it was exactly.
Over 300 elite members were present and that was practically everyone because this was a major event.
How could he pinpoint the exact spy when his tank trio was nuked in the open?
As for Silver Legion, he doubted they would be a nuisance to spread the news. After all, the blast might have nuked his three tank trios, but the aftermath also spread toward its members.
In other words, this was a loss for both of them, albeit the Silver Legion members got lucky with just a 30% decrease in health.
While Herald Fist was frustrated by the situation, on the right side, Gentle Wind had a grin on her face.
"Did something good happen?" Autumn Breeze asked when she saw that sly grin hanging on her face.
"Yes, it's something good." Nodding, Gentle Wind proceeded to relay the events to her.
Sure enough, Autumn Breeze laughed in humor upon seeing the bad luck that struck upon Herald Fist.
"Ah, he's definitely fuming now." Autumn Breeze chuckled. "The culprit is someone he can't even get revenge on, and no one else made a mistake either. He could only stuff that frustration and swallow it back inside."
"Heh, he's the type to lose his temper easily when gaming." Gentle Wind agreed but still sighed softly. "If only his rationality and temper remain the same in the real world. How easy would it have been to deal with him?"
Similar to how Herald Fist knew her real identity, it was vice versa on her end as well.
'Zhang Tie Quan is really a nuisance and always copies me.' Had there been a copyright law against players copying others, then Gentle Wind would have struck him down with it.
"Anyway, we should be careful of Cool Wind's position." She shook her head and warned.
"Agreed, it's hard to say whether we will receive the same fate as Herald Fist." Autumn Breeze said.
The chance of Xu Feng sabotaging them was low because they knew each other in the real world.
However, nothing was certain when it involved a chaotic battlefield .
The Colossus wouldn't care who and where it targeted. So Xu Feng could easily be forced to shift to a certain position which may or may not cause their side to become collateral damage.
"We should probably try to split the—" Before Autumn Breeze could bring up her suggestion, her eyes witnessed a flashing light.
A second later, that flashing light struck their team's frontline, which was followed by a loud explosion. A large mushroom cloud soon appeared.
"Did I do anything bad?" Filled with disbelief, Gentle Wind couldn't believe that her guild would receive the same fate as Herald Fist.
"Haha, we didn't." Contrary to Gentle Wind's disbelief, Autumn Breeze breathed out a sigh of relief.
"Our members were fine. The ones who got hit were Lion Roar." She continued. Lion Roar was the other guild with them to handle the monsters on the right side. Despite this, they still made sure both guilds remained in their designated spot to avoid any potential conflict.
"Phew, it's good that our members are fine, but the formation is still ruined." Gentle Wind had no time to laugh at their misfortune, given their ruin was equivalent to them.
