Since the enemies were capable of outputting power in the Tier 4 level, it made sense to Xu Feng why Carmen tried to remain silent about the matter.
She definitely didn't want him risking it all in revenge on behalf of her.
Although Carmen trusted his ability a lot, it still worried her. The enemies this time weren't simple and were clearly capable of doing more damage. In her mind, she believed this was merely a warning from the enemies.
After all, they chose to target Dawnshire City, and not Star Falls City—their main operating city.
"I understand the situation, Captain Albert." Xu Feng said after hearing the entirety of the sequence of events.
"We will definitely honor Lady Lunar Wraith for her contribution and sacrifice for the city." Albert patted his chest and swore solemnly.
"Sacrifice, yes, but I'm a healer." Xu Feng mused and continued, "She will be resurrected with the power of the Gods."
"Oh?" Startled, Albert's mouth widened in disbelief. "It's good that she can be resurrected. Her rewards would definitely not be less."
The action done by Carmen had truly impressed Albert. He would without a doubt ensure the former received her just reward. Otherwise, he would complain straight to the empire.
Meanwhile, Xu Feng didn't bother to say anything further. Regardless of Albert's mindset, the System was fair and just.
Even without Albert's intervention, Carmen's merit and contribution were number 1 in Dawnshire City. It wasn't even a competition.
She not only killed numerous Colossuses, but she also defended the city's core with her life. Who else but her had accomplished such a feat?
"Captain Albert, please begin to oversee the city. The monsters should have been deflected and it's time for us to regain our city." Xu Feng solemnly said.
The siege against Dawnshire City could be considered over, with only some remnants remaining that needed to be killed or escaped.
Once the remnants were cleared out, a system notification would be sent to all participants—except for Vegan Life.
Since Xu Feng had made sure these people would suffer the consequences, they were now labeled as Colossus' allies. In hindsight, not only were they not going to be rewarded, but they were also going to be punished heavily.
It didn't even matter if the Vegan Life members tried to quit the guild, the punishment would still remain. However, that wasn't even the fun part yet.
Xu Feng couldn't wait to see their faces once they realized what kind of consequences were waiting for them.
Sometime later, Xu Feng entered the room after sending the guards away and glanced at Carmen. He noticed the Anti-Curse Revival was still active.
"Hmph, the Mad Alchemist is really a lunatic." He had to admit that their potion concoction was indeed superior. To think they had managed to concoct such a potion at this time was already beyond amazing.
Unfortunately for them though, Xu Feng wasn't an average player. Using Absolute Undoing, he nullified the effect and cast Revive upon Carmen.
A few glittering particles of light shone on Carmen and soon, she resurrected.
"Ugh, you are really stubborn." As soon as she revived, Carmen glared angrily at Xu Feng. Without a doubt, she was displeased about being ignored earlier. She had tried her best to conceal the matter to prevent him from fighting another powerful entity.
Yet it was evident that her attempt ended up in complete shambles. Xu Feng clearly had no intention of letting them go and seemed even more determined than ever.
Although she couldn't see his expression due to the mask, she was positive that Xu Feng eagerly wanted to eradicate the enemy this time. It wasn't the same as the time when Xu Feng declared war on MIST simply to send a message.
"They didn't succeed anyway," Carmen said. "We should start worrying about our own development to improve stronger. Then we'll get revenge."
Having witnessed the enemy's strength, she was cautious of the other party's ability. To be capable of producing a Tier 4 power only by sacrificing one player was nothing in front of a large entity.
Large entities never lacked manpower.
Just imagining a large group of people sacrificing themselves to exert such power toward their guild—Carmen dared not to gamble and act impulsively.
"You worry too much." Contrary to her concern, Xu Feng wasn't impulsive either. He was indeed wrathful when it occurred, but despite his brute force method, he still remained rational.
Throwing the grenades like it was nothing wasn't a waste of money. Instead, it was a warning to the enemies once they revived back at their own place that he could obtain more grenades.
If the worst comes to worst, both sides would suffer tremendously.
However, there was one thing that the enemy would never know.
He was not the type to play fair and with his abundant knowledge alone. The damage he could deal was not just some small sabotage or battle between guilds.
Forget about that nonsense crap.
Xu Feng was out for blood—and he meant it. Now that he realized who the enemy was and why they were so adamant, he would be a foolish man to let them grow.
"Your level dropped, so you should just find time to grind again. Leave the aftermath for me to deal with." Xu Feng turned to her and said calmly.
Although he could bypass the time limit of the Anti-Revival Curse and revive her. The loss of her level could not be reversed.
"Do you not trust me?"
"I do, but that's not the point."
"Oh, so are you saying you got killed and won't even get revenge?"
"That's not what I meant." Carmen pursed her lips and stomped the ground.
