In the blink of an eye, another week had passed.
After the morning class ended, Fang Jing and Yan Xiao Yue packed up their things while discussing where to go for lunch. They talked it over for a long time but couldn’t decide, so they looked at Shen Weiyi.
Seeing that Shen Weiyi was daydreaming, Yan Xiao Yue couldn’t help but wave her hand in front of her face.
"Hmm? What’s up?" Shen Weiyi snapped back to reality.
"What’s wrong with you? You’ve been out of it lately," Fang Jing asked with concern.
"It’s nothing! I’m probably just tired," Shen Weiyi shook her head and then looked towards Yan Xiao Yue and Fang Jing, "What were you just talking about?"
Yan Xiao Yue said, "We were discussing where to go for lunch. Do you have any good suggestions?" They had basically tried every cafeteria in the school since the start of the term, and now with so many choices, they couldn’t decide on one.
"I don’t have anything in particular I want to eat. You guys decide," Shen Weiyi said.
Fang Jing made a decision, "Then, let’s just go to the nearest cafeteria and see what they have to offer." Then, she thought of something and looked at Shen Weiyi, "Oh, by the way, why haven’t you been going to see Senior Sheng lately?" It’s normal for couples to eat together, isn’t it?
Although they all knew Senior Sheng was busy, it wasn’t so busy he didn’t have time to even eat with his girlfriend, was it?
That would be too irresponsible!
Shen Weiyi explained, "He’s out with his professor on a field trip for a research project."
"I see. You’ve been so absent-minded because you’re missing Senior Sheng," Fang Jing teased her with a smile.
Shen Weiyi smiled but didn’t give more of an explanation.
There were four classes that morning, two major-specific and two general education classes.
The general education classes at Z University were usually attended by several classes together, in a large lecture room that could accommodate more than a hundred people. Once class ended, the room was bustling with groups of students packing up and heading out.
Just then, the girls walking in front heard one of them say, "Look quick, the most handsome guy in our school got beaten up."
"Who are you talking about?" Another girl immediately looked over.
"It seems to be Sheng Ting. I’ve seen him once before; he’s really good-looking!"
"I’ve heard of him too. He’s really impressive, joining the professor for a research experiment as just a sophomore."
"What a pity, I heard he already has a girlfriend..."
Shen Weiyi couldn’t help but raise her head.
She saw a few girls huddled together, discussing a video on a phone in a heated conversation.
"Who are these people? Why are they causing trouble at the entrance of our school?"
"Where’s the security? Why hasn’t anyone come out to help?"
"Ah! His hand seems to be injured. That’s his hand for doing experiments..."
"Excuse me, what were you just talking about?" Shen Weiyi suddenly asked from behind.
The girls in front all turned their heads to look at her.
Someone recognized her, "Aren’t you Senior Sheng’s girlfriend?"
"That’s me," Shen Weiyi nodded, "I thought I heard you say that Sheng Ting got beat up at the school entrance. Could I ask what exactly happened?"
One of the girls handed her the phone and said, "You should see for yourself. Isn’t the person in this video Senior Sheng?"
The video was taken from a distance and wasn’t very clear, but Shen Weiyi still recognized Sheng Ting in the middle at first glance.
However, the faces of the people surrounding him were too blurred to make out.
