“Grandmom, Mom.”
Ye Tianxin stepped inside the tea house. The grandmother saw Xie Xuning and replied in a soft voice, “Son-in-law, are you in here?”
“Mom, did you have a good time at the market?”
Xie Xuning sat next to the grandmother. He could not dare to imagine, either. Fortunately, the grandmother was alright. How could he face Linlang if she wasn’t?
What about Tianxin? How would she feel?
The grandmother nodded. “Yes, I was happy with Linlang accompanying me.”
She was happy no matter what, as long as her daughter was with her.
“Have you found the person?” Xie Yi was concerned and asked.
Xie Xuning nodded, “Yes, you do not need to worry about it.”
Xie Yi’s face was all covered with guilt. “It was all my fault. If it wasn’t because of me…”
Ye Tianxin was concerned that Xie Yi would say too much and expose the whole thing, so she interrupted her deliberately, “Mom, this had nothing to do with you; do not blame yourself. Haven’t you seen how much grandmother loves you?”
Xie Yi buried her face in her hands. Now she felt even more ashamed because they did not blame her.
Xie Xuning was incredibly considerate and stated, “That is right. You should spend more time with my mom because she loves you very much. Mom, let Linlang stay with you. I still have to get back to work.”
“Go ahead then. Work is important.”
Upon hearing that Xie Xuning was still working, the grandmother urged him to hurry up and leave.
Xie Xuning gave Ye Tianxin a comforting look.
“Dad, try to get home earlier tonight so we can plan out how to celebrate the New Year, OK?”
“OK, then. Mom, let Tianxin and Linlang continue to take you to the market.”
Xie Xuning left the tea house and sat in a black sedan parked alongside the tea house.
“How did it go? Have you captured the guy?”
The security guard replied, “We have sent him over.”
Xie Xuning nodded. His hands were resting on his lap, with his fingers tips gently tapping on his knees.
It was another coincidence.
Someone happened to be taking the grandmother away while Li Zhiwei was at the market!
They did not plan the trip ahead of time. Could this be a total coincidence?
“Who was that man following?”
The security guard replied, “That man has been following Miss Mo for many days.”
“Xie Yi’s assistant? Is there any problem with her?”
The security shook his head, “No. Mo Shi is the younger sister of Mo Bei, Jing Zhichen’s special assistant. There should not be any problem there.”
“Check again on Mo Shi. She grew up in a foreign country, so her background might have been tainted. We would rather kill all than missing one.”
“Yes.”
The car parked next to the door of a small courtyard. Xie Xuning walked inside.
He turned to the corner of the courtyard and stepped into a room with no light. As soon as he walked in, a beam of light lit up in the pitch-black room.
Xie Xuning casually sat on a folding chair.
The man was tied to a chair with a black sack covering his head.
The man saw Xie Xuning immediately when they removed the sack. A panic of fear appeared in his eyes, and his teeth could not help but rattle.
“Do you know who I am?”
The man nodded.
People said that he was the youngest commander of the Empire.

He had no pity even towards friends or family.
The man had heard so many rumors about him, but none was as shocking as when he saw him with his own eyes.
