Chapter 42 - The Threshold of Eternity
Jin-Ho Kang had never known limitation. From the moment of his ascension, he had rewritten the very nature of existence, bending fate and destiny beneath his will. But as he crossed into the unknown, a realization settled upon him—this was no longer a realm he could control.
The void around him was neither abyss nor creation. It was beyond both, a space where even concepts struggled to exist. And yet, it welcomed him, shifting and twisting in response to his presence.

A figure emerged from the shifting currents of the realm—not a being of flesh, nor of shadow, but a form woven from existence itself. Its voice resonated without sound.

Jin-Ho's golden eyes burned with curiosity. "Then they were weak."
The presence pulsed with something close to amusement. Strength is not measured in conquest alone. You stand at the edge of eternity. Do you seek to rule it, or to understand it?
Jin-Ho smirked. "I will do both."
The realm responded to his defiance, the currents of existence shifting, parting, revealing glimpses of something beyond even this space—worlds unseen, truths unfathomable. It was a place where even the gods he had defeated were nothing more than echoes.
And in that moment, Jin-Ho understood.
The power he had wielded before was vast, but it had been limited by definition. The abyss, the system, the wars—these were boundaries, rules he had unknowingly followed. But here, there were no rules.
