Before he could finish speaking, Lu Yunlan had ruthlessly interrupted him. She glared at him and coldly said, "In two days, you hurt the two most important people in my life, and now you speak to me of our past? That’s a joke!"
Her emotions were too intense, every word she uttered stabbed at Chen Wenzhou’s heart.
He felt a dull pain in his chest and gazed deeply at Lu Yunlan wanting to say something, but as he met the hatred in her eyes, he found himself speechless. Ultimately, he just sighed deeply and turned to Pei Yansi, saying:
"I’m sorry, it wasn’t intentional."
Pei Yansi coldly stared back at him, unresponsive.
In his view, there was no such thing as intentional or not. Anyone who hurt Shen Heyu would not be easily forgiven, especially a man like Chen Wenzhou, who acted violently towards her.
He felt even more contemptuous.
And he was also furious. The woman that he normally wouldn’t dream of laying a finger on had been mistreated by him.
After a long silence, Pei Yansi finally said, "I will make the Chen Family pay the price they deserve."
Chen Wenzhou remained silent, seemingly indifferent to what might happen to Chen Jia. He turned back obstinately and grasped Lu Yunlan’s hand, "Will you come with me? Listen to me, I have so much to say to you."

Seeing her , Chen Wenzhou didn’t persist. However, his gaze gradually darkened, becoming cold and indifferent. His eyes turned wolf-like, sternly fixed on Lu Yunlan as if he were a hunter lurking in the dark night.
Watching his prey sneakily, waiting for the right moment to strike, then deal a fatal blow.
Lu Yunlan felt a chill run down her spine from his stare, turning her gaze away out of goodwill, refusing to look at him.
After a while, the lights in the emergency room finally went off, and the doctor pushed Shen Heyu out.
Pei Yansi quickly stepped forward and asked the doctor anxiously, "How is she?"
The doctor smiled slightly and said, "There’s no life-threatening danger, but she suffered a slight concussion. She needs to stay in the hospital for observation for a few days."
Pei Yansi breathed a sigh of relief.
He followed the nurses as they took Shen Heyu into a deluxe ward, and Lu Yunlan hurriedly followed, but she was stopped by Pei Yansi at the door.
Pei Yansi looked down at her from his superior height and said, "I think it’s not suitable for you to be here right now."
Shen Heyu was injured because of her; how could he let her in? With Shen Heyu still in a coma, he naturally had the right to make that decision. Perhaps, when she woke up, she might see Lu Yunlan again, but that would be after she woke up.
At least, now, given his anger and hatred towards these two people, it was impossible to let them see her again.

Lu Yunlan had some understanding of Pei Yansi. He was ruthless and brutal, but he often was ruthless only towards outsiders. When it came to Shen Heyu and her daughter, he was extremely protective, a stark contrast to Chen Wenzhou.

She headed towards her brother’s room.

Her words were utterly merciless.
Chen Wenzhou just stood there quietly, watching as she drifted out of his sight, deeply worried she might actually call the police, yet he did not follow her.
In fact, he was well aware that Lu Yunlan was not in a state to listen to anything.
Harassing her now would be useless and only irritate her even more. Maybe he really should wait until she calmed down to have a proper talk.
Thinking this, Chen Wenzhou left first, not even considering visiting his sister.
As Lu Yunlan heard the footsteps behind her fade away, she breathed a sigh of relief, yet simultaneously, a deep sense of helplessness welled up inside her. She took a deep breath to stabilize her emotions and mood, then pushed open the door to Lu Yi’s hospital room and entered.
Lu Yi had awakened and was leaning against the headboard. He had also heard the commotion outside. He looked at his sister’s red eyes and asked, "What happened?"
Lu Yunlan shook her head in front of him, sitting beside his bed without saying a word.
But having grown up together, Lu Yi could sense any slight change in her mood. He reached out, gently ruffled his sister’s hair, and said kindly, "If he’s not right for you, cut your losses in time."
Having been holding back her tears all this time, Lu Yunlan, upon hearing her brother’s familial comfort, could hold back no longer and burst into tears.
She had always been a pampered daughter, never allowing herself to be treated unfairly or to suppress her emotions. Once her tears started, they couldn’t be stopped.
"I never thought he would be that kind of person. He hurt you and even hit Heyu. I’m sorry..."
Lu Yi gave a faint smile, comforting her, "His mistakes aren’t your fault. It’s not too late to see him for who he really is."
Lu Yunlan nodded, her voice nasal from her crying as she spoke, "I will sever all ties with him."
Lu Yi hummed in response, then added, "Something just happened, I heard Pei Yansi’s voice."
She was unsure how to tell him about Heyu’s injury.
After all, Lu Yi was still in the hospital bed, but once he knew, he would definitely rush to find her!
