Pei Yansi laughed, realizing this was a genuine stab to the heart.
That old man truly lived up to his reputation on the business battlegrounds, cunning and sinister.
He even came up with such an underhanded idea, actually having Pei Yansi deliver invitations to Shen Heyu and Lu Yi.
"Do you think I would agree?"
"You don’t have another choice. After all, if you don’t agree, your stalling tactic won’t proceed here, and you won’t have time to do what you want."
Pei Yansi coldly curled his lip, his gaze icy as if it had formed frost in an instant.
The sky outside gradually darkened.
Pei Yansi had rushed to the Chen Family and hadn’t stayed for a meal.
His Maybach stopped at the Chen Family’s entrance, and he tossed two invitations onto the seat beside him in the back of the car.
The driver cautiously glanced at the rear-view mirror, observing Pei Yansi’s expression and noticing his somber face.

By the window, Chen Lingmeng saw Pei Yansi’s Maybach drive away, and she anxiously patted the armrests of her wheelchair.
"Grandpa, Pei Yansi finally came to our house for a meal. Why did you say those things? You know he hates hearing that, isn’t this driving him away?" Chen Lingmeng anxiously displayed her spoiled attitude to Grandpa Chen.

Grandpa Chen smiled briefly and walked behind Chen Lingmeng to push her wheelchair.
As he pushed her towards the dining room, he said, "Well, since Pei Yansi isn’t willing to stay for dinner, let’s not bother with him; let’s go have our meal."
"Grandpa!" Chen Lingmeng called out loudly, turning her head to look at Grandpa Chen.
"If you don’t clarify things with me today, I will not eat."
"Mengmeng, how can you go against Grandpa like that? Everything Grandpa does is for your good, he wouldn’t hurt you." Chen Wenzhou had grown up in the Chen family, but he had no blood relation to them, so he was very mindful of circumstances.
Chen Lingmeng was different; she was a pampered and spoiled young lady.
Unable to resist Shen Heyu, Grandpa Chen could only smile helplessly, lifting his hand to adjust the old reading glasses on his nose.

Pei Yansi picked up the two invitations, a mocking smile already tinting his eyes, "Indeed, a happy occasion is about to happen."
"What kind of happy occasion?" The butler’s eyelids twitched, as he sensed Pei Yansi was being sarcastic.
"The Chen family has asked me to deliver mine and Chen Lingmeng’s engagement banquet invitations to Shen Heyu."
Upon hearing this, the butler’s face turned pale and panicked, his hands trembling and even his speech faltered, "But President Pei, will you go? This really shouldn’t be attended!"
Pei Yan tugged at the corner of his mouth and smiled, "Why shouldn’t I go?"
