Pei Yansi had repeatedly confirmed with Shen Heyu several times, but she was unwilling to leave with him. She insisted on staying, and so Pei Yansi eventually slowly raised his head, lifted his foot, and walked away. Watching his retreating figure, Shen Heyu felt her heart suddenly sink, as if plunging into the depth of the sea, where not a single ray of light could be seen.
She raised her head to look at the departing silhouette of Pei Yansi; his back looked so desolate. But then, Lu Yi grabbed Shen Heyu’s wrist and dragged her back into the room. Soon after, there was a click as he locked the door.
