If word gets to the Chairman, you’ll not enjoy the consequences.” Su Hai always addressed his brother-in-law by his official title, not out of particular respect, but instead, the relation between this nephew-in-law and the brother-in-law was not good.
Su Yun’s proud expression collapsed as her eyebrow arched in impatience. Despite being the President’s wife and head of the Qianjin Dance Troupe now, she had an unflattering history and never felt she had a strong footing within the Meng Family.
“Alright, I know! Wasn’t I just upset today because he hurt Meng Ping so badly? I was distressed,” said Su Yun, who truly cared for her stepson as if he were her own.
She pushed open the door to the ward, where Meng Ping lay on the bed. The excessive bandages that had been on his face were removed, revealing a very handsome visage.
A hint of a wicked smile graced his lips, exuding a deadly attraction.
“Meng Ping, how are you feeling? Does it still hurt?” Su Yun approached with concern but was noticeably avoided by Meng Ping.
“How can you be fine when you’re so badly injured!” Su Yun said, her displeasure clear in her face. “Tell me, who did this to you? I’ll go and settle the score.”
Su Hai smiled wryly at the side. Meng Ping’s spoiled behavior had been encouraged by his sister.
One might have thought that Meng Ping would take the opportunity to incite Su Yun to seek revenge, but instead, he just smiled and shook his head.
“Enough! Annoying. Just go back, you’re giving me a headache.” He covered his head with the quilt, decisively ignoring her.
“Okay, okay, you get some rest and I’ll head back.” Su Yun teased him with a smile, “You dare to give me an attitude, let’s see if you dare to visit our Song and Dance Troupe after this.”
“I won’t go anymore!” Meng Ping grumbled from beneath the covers.
