Biological (亲生的)
Wang Xin Fang spoke so softly as if she was whispering to herself.
Jing Tie Jun frowned a bit and said, “Don’t pull that kind of stunt, we need to use a soft approach when dealing with people like her. You didn’t see her cold and indifferent attitude at the hospital that day, but I did. As long as we take her side in things, sooner or later, she’ll start treating us as her real biological parents. By then, we just need to sit back and enjoy the benefits.”
“I know, I know.” Wang Xin Fang said while nodding her head.
“Don’t say those types of words anymore. Just treat her as our family’s eldest daughter.” Jing Tie Jun warned her again.
Wang Xin Fang just continued nodding.
Meanwhile, Jing Yun Zhao missed the whole exchange between Jing Tie Jun and Wang Xin Fang as she already went back to school.
“So how was it? Are you related?” Jing Yun Zhao was instantly bombarded by questions from Xiao Hai Qing the moment she went back to class.
This matter had troubled the few people greatly for several days. They hoped that Jing Yun Zhao would be able to find her biological parents, but at the same time, they felt afraid for her. Because Jing Yun Zhao had already experienced such a difficult childhood if her biological parents were to be somehow even worse than her adoptive parents, how scary would that be? Wouldn’t she be jumping out of the pan and into the fire?
They don’t usually assume that people are bad, but in Jing Yun Zhao’s case, it’s different. She is an abandoned orphan, how good would the parents get for not even being able to protect their own daughter?
“I’m their biological daughter.” Jing Yun Zhao said in a small and muffled voice.
“Huh?” Xiao Hai Qing was momentarily speechless, “How could it be so coincidental…But did they say something, Yun Zhao? They’d probably want to bring you to see your three siblings?”
“I’ll be meeting them early in the morning tomorrow. I just need to tell Teacher Qi,” Jing Yun Zhao replied.
Jing Yun Zhao’s voice was listless when she spoke that even Xiao Hai Qing and Su Chu could tell that she wasn’t excited about the situation. Finding one’s biological parents should have been a joyous matter, but that was under the precondition that Jing Yun Zhao still had expectations of her parents.
The both of them didn’t dare to say anything else, they could only be quiet and let Yun Zhao calm down.
This result caused Jing Yun Zhao to be confused for a long while because towards strangers, she could face them bravely without a care, but she found herself at a loss on how to deal with people related to her. She didn’t want to get closer to them, but at the same time, she wanted a more intimate relationship with them.
This type of feeling was just too frustrating.
She spent the whole afternoon trying to organize her thoughts and went back into her space at night. The refreshing medicinal smell in the space allowed her to clear her mind.
Xiao Lan was in front of her eyes acting cute and being obedient as if he could sense her downcast mood.
Outside the space, her phone’s ringtone pierced through the air.
Letting out a sigh, she left the space and saw that the caller ID was Li Shoa Yun. She froze for a while, thinking, this person left for so long, only now did he finally think to call me?
“Hello?” Jing Yun Zhao said after adjusting her breathing.
Once the call was connected, his magnetic voice could be heard, “What’s wrong? Are you in a bad mood?”
“How did you know?” Jing Yun Zhao’s body tensed.
This Li Shao Yun somehow felt that her mood wasn’t the best with just a simple hello from her, how did he know?
Li Shao Yun chuckled lightly. Even though Jing Yun Zhao couldn’t see his current expression, she could already imagine his cocky smug face through the phone. Every time she picked up Li Shao Yun’s call, she would put her walls up, so whenever they spoke she would instantly say, ‘What’s the problem?’ Meanwhile, her response this time was too calm.
However hearing what Li Shao Yun said, Jing Yun Zhao couldn’t help but laugh, feeling relieved.
“I never knew that Li Shao would be this attentive. I’m really surprised, but thanks to you, now I’m a bit happier.” I had some problems earlier, but now it’s resolved to a certain degree.
