Cain immediately put his palm on his face when he heard Anya's whisper, as he thought that maybe Ayla would say something funny like asking her to to cover their food expenses or something, but he certainly hadn't anticipated her thoughts reaching so far into the future.
"Little girl, stop playing around and don't whisper again in the future. People could hear what you're whispering about." Cain shook his head helplessly as he pinched Ayla's cheek playfully.
Feeling embarrassed that nearly everyone had caught her words, Ayla covered her own face with both hands in a cute gesture of chagrin.
"Alright, alright. Let's go inside. The auction's about to start," Cain picked Ayla up into his arms when he noticed that she was too embarrassed to stand there doing nothing when everyone was laughing.
However, unlike them, who enjoyed their moments, the bystanders in the surroundings were whispering to each other as they hadn't expected that the cold jade beauty was someone from the Liang Family, who owns the Starlight Auction House.
Which meant that she was from the higher world, as most of them didn't know the details about the structure in the entire world.
However, the thing that attracted their attention the most wasn't that but rather Cain, who made Liang Yuchen wait in the entrance only to welcome him.
Entering Starlight Auction House, the loud bustle of the crowd immediately washed over them as thousands of people had gathered in groups, discussing various different topics.
"So this is the auction hall?" Ayla showed such an excited expression as her eyes darted back and forth, filled with curiosity and wonder, since this was the first time she had ever entered this kind of place.
Not only her, Sylvia, Elion, and a few people from Cain's group were also amazed with the sight which greeted them. It was a huge circular half-arc hall with a dome roof lined with the most brilliant of light stones, all of which were emitting a soft glow that made the entire interior of Starlight Auction House feel comfortable.
At the lowest level of the hall, rows of seats were neatly arranged as nearly ninety percent of these seats were already filled, while the higher floors still had quite a large number of people walking back and forth.
At the front center of the main floor was a high platform of at least two meters above the ground. It was clearly the stage where the auctioning items would be presented by the auctioneer.
This design allowed everyone participating in the auction to clearly see the items being auctioned.
Cain was also honestly quite excited since this was also his first time attending an auction. However, he didn't show such emotion as he only looked around as if inspecting the building.
'So this is what it feels like to attend an auction.' Cain thought so, as he had always imagined in his mind whenever he read novels where the MC attended an auction.

Just as Cain was lost in his thoughts, a beautiful maid ran over to them and bowed politely to Liang Yuchen. "Young Miss, the private room is ready."
Liang Yuchen only nodded her head gracefully before looking at Cain with a smile. "Come. I'll show you to the room we've prepared in advance."

"Lead the way," Cain responded, thinking that with his status in their imagination, he would probably get at least one of the best rooms here as he glanced over at a few huge boxes at the top looming over the entire hall.
Following Liang Yuchen, they went straight up to the third floor and directly went to the nearest room. Pushing open the door, Liang Yuchen explained it herself as he looked at Cain with a beautiful smile. "Young Master Cain, this is the finest room at this small branch. I hope you'll pardon its limitations, as it's the best we can do here."
Cain and the others entered the room and found that the space was actually big enough for them and another 10 people to use this room. The room was well furnished with comfortable sofas to sit on and good-quality spirit fruits laid on a decorative table.
A pot of hot spirit tea was brewing, and there were already two gorgeous young maidservants standing by, as they had been waiting for them for quite a while.
These two maids had slender figures, and upon seeing the group, they immediately welcomed them warmly.
"You're too kind. This room is more than sufficient," Cain replied with a quiet chuckle. "Especially since I brought so many people without warning."
Ayla and Sylvia immediately teamed up and ran towards the massive glass that shows the entire hall from above.
"Look!" Sylvia whispered, nudging Ayla. "Most of the seats are almost filled."
"Mhhmm-Mhhmm." Ayla nodded excitedly, thinking that the auction should be starting at any point now, as she heard that when the seats were full, that's when the auction would usually start.
"Ayla, Sylvia, come try these fruits. They taste good and can also strengthen your body a little." Cain plucked a fruit similar to a grape and ate it.
When Ayla heard that there was something tasty and also could help with strengthening someone's body, she immediately ran over to the table without hesitation before picking out the same fruit that Cain ate and began eating them with a full mouth.
Cain shook his head when he watched Ayla cutely eat the fruits with her mouth and hands full of them as if she was afraid that someone would snatch them from her.
"Slow down, Ayla. No one is going to take them from you." Cain chuckled as he patted her head softly.
Everyone also laughed when they watched it before finding their own seat as they noticed that the commotion was already quieted down a little bit.
"There's no need for formality. Just take a seat and relax. We're not some kind of important people, we're just here to join in the fun." Cain said to the two maids when he noticed that both of them were acting nervously.
Both of them immediately waved their hands frantically, responding that they didn't dare.
"Just do as Young Master Cain says." Old Feng chuckled as he gave the two maids a glance.
When they heard it, they quickly bowed at Cain and thanked him before sitting in a corner, distancing themselves.
"Don't be nervous, just act normally as if we're your friends." Cain chuckled as he shook his head.
Ayla looked at Cain and the two maids back and forth. When she noticed what was going on, she quickly walked over to the maids and handed them the fruits in her hands as she said with a mumbling sound that was unclear since her mouth was still full. "Hwes aa oouu." (These are for you.)
The two maids glanced at each other and accepted the fruits with a weird smile, nodding their heads slightly. "Thank you, little miss."
Ayla shook her head as she grabbed their hands and dragged them over. "Huu hoon hiiid duu heeng hi, deeh ahh hill aa oohh of em." (You don't need to thank me, there are still a lot of them.)
"Ayla, finish your food first before talking to someone. That's rude, you know, if you talk with someone while you still have food in your mouth." Cain patted Ayla's head, teaching her some manners so that she wouldn't unknowingly act rude to others in the future.
She then chewed them properly and gulped them before nodding to Cain. "Ayla understands."
"Now that I remember, my mom has reminded me about this too. My mom used to remind me about that all the time, but after she wasn't around, nobody has reminded me ever since." Ayla lowered her head down and felt sad as she remembered her moments with him.
When Cain saw it, he immediately picked her up and hugged her warmly. "Hey, no need to be sad. You have me and everyone else now, right?"
Pinching her cheek playfully, Cain said with a smile. "If you see anything interesting during the auction, just place a bid. Big Brother Garran will pay for it."
Cain said that as he wanted to distract Ayla so that she wouldn't be sad again.
When Ayla heard it, she immediately understood the assignment as she thought that Cain wanted her to let Garran pay for the things she bid so that Cain wouldn't need to spend a single dime and her meals didn't need to be cut down.
"Thank you, Big Brother Garran!" Ayla jumped and hugged Garran, acting cute so that Garran would agree to pay for the things she bid.
Garran sat there, winking his eyes a few times as he didn't believe what he had seen. 'Why is it me that needs to pay for it?'
It's not that he was unable or didn't want to do so, but he was just taken aback that Cain randomly asked him to pay for Ayla's bid.
"Sure, sure. Feel free to bid on anything you like. I'll pay for them." Garran shook his head helplessly and ruffled Ayla's hair, thinking that there was something amiss but didn't care much as it wouldn't even affect him financially even if Ayla bid everything that was going to be auctioned.
"Hehe, Big Brother Garran is the best…" Ayla paused for a moment before continuing. "Well, right after Big Brother Cain and my own brother, of course."
