"Can you let your friend leave first?" Liu Jiang looked at Jiang Biyun with an expression of difficulty.
"If it’s too hard for you to say it, just drop it. I have other things to do." He Zhilan didn’t want to talk to Liu Jiang, this hypocrite, or rather, she didn’t want to waste her time on Liu Jiang in this lifetime.
"It’s not a big deal! I just want to ask you if you’ve seen Chen Shan recently? Do you know where she went? I’ve been to many places and I can’t find her. She’s not at her workplace or at her house." He Zhilan genuinely laughed out loud, "By the way, Liu Jiang, how can you be so certain that Chen Shan is heartbroken after the breakup? I’m curious about how you even got engaged to Chen Shan in the first place. The Chen Family is much more prestigious than the Liu Family, aren’t they?"
"I know Ding Jinshi is Chen Shan’s friend. Ding Jinshi definitely knows where Chen Shan is, but Ding Long doesn’t allow me to approach Ding Jinshi. I’ve heard that you and Ding Jinshi are good friends. Can you please ask Ding Jinshi for me where Chen Shan has gone?" Liu Jiang looked anxious. He really wanted to know where Chen Shan was, so he answered He Zhilan’s questions. "My father saved the life of Chen Shan’s father. When we were very young, Chen Shan’s father said he wanted to marry Chen Shan to me to repay my father’s life-saving grace. He wanted to strengthen the bond between our two families. That’s how the engagement happened."
Chen Shan’s father must be blind to want to form a bond with your family." He Zhilan muttered quietly, then directly walked away with Jiang Biyun. Seeing Liu Jiang was chasing after them, they both laughed out loud and started running.
Both of them were quite good at running and knew the terrain well. They lost him in a short while.
Jiang Biyun had heard from He Zhilan about this Liu Jiang situation before. After sorting out the relationships, Jiang Biyun couldn’t help but laugh until she clutched her sides.
"Does this guy think he’s as universally loved as RMB? As if everyone will revolve around him, doing as he pleases? Breaking off the engagement when he wants, and wanting to go through with the original engagement when he says? Does he think Chen Shan is an idiot?"
"Chen Shan has always hated him, and has finally gotten rid of him. How could she possibly let him bother her again?" He Zhilan snorted contemptuously. She remembered that when Chen Shan thanked her, her happiness was so genuine, it looked as if she had ascended from hell to heaven.
With Gu En’s absence, the dorm room atmosphere was better than ever. On the first night of the semester, Chen Xiting took He Zhilan and Jiang Biyun to the student street to buy a bunch of food and brought it back to the dorm.
Unlink the start of the first academic semester, Chen Xiting simply greeted Huang Cai and Wang Bingbing, who instantly shed their reticence, thanked her, and then everybody gathered to chat and eat.
However, this good dorm atmosphere didn’t last long. Half a month into the semester, Gu En suddenly appeared in the dorm without a word, startling everyone.
In the dead of winter, Gu En was wearing a black leather jacket with a woolen dress underneath, high-heeled shoes showing off her bare legs. Everyone in the dorm felt a chill just looking at her.
