"Last time on the cruise, I saw you being very intimate with a woman. Isn’t she your girlfriend?" Tian Xingyun blinked in disbelief at him. Did he break up with the woman from last time?
"We weren’t a good match, so we broke up!" Hu Yuxi said with a forced smile. He couldn’t possibly say that they had only known each other for a few days and she wasn’t really his girlfriend.
But nothing happened between him and that woman. He was very pure and innocent!
"I’m full. I want to go shopping. Are you going to work at the company?" Tian Xingyun changed the topic with a smile.
"I’m on vacation today!" Hu Yuxi lied through his teeth without even a hint of guilt.
He had dumped all the work on his secretary and assistant to handle, taking the opportunity to sneak out and accompany her.
"Both of you aren’t at the company. What will happen there?"
"Andy is still there," Hu Yuxi said, rubbing his nose with a smile.
At the company, Andy had already cursed Huo Shaohua and Hu Yuxi hundreds of times!
Why did they dump all the work on him? He was just an assistant!
He was doing more than his duties. It was too much.
He demanded a raise and a vacation.
"He’s working so hard, you two are too much," Tian Xingyun voiced her indignation for Andy.
"I’ve been working overtime for days, my cousin is just more free," Hu Yuxi sighed lightly, feigning pitifulness, while pushing all the blame onto Huo Shaohua.
"That guy is really selfish, only thinking about himself." Tian Xingyun fumed. She got angry every time she mentioned Huo Shaohua.
"Extremely selfish, he often deducts Andy’s salary and vacation!" Hu Yuxi took the chance to add fuel to the fire and badmouth Huo Shaohua, though what he said was partly true.
He just embellished a bit.
"Andy works so hard, and he still deducts his salary and vacation?" Tian Xingyun frowned in disbelief at Hu Yuxi.
"Really! Andy just doesn’t dare complain."
"That’s too much!" Tian Xingyun was furious. That guy was just a selfish jerk.
It was bad enough he treated her poorly, but he didn’t have to treat Andy so badly too.
Did he even have a conscience? Andy was so loyal to him.
"Enough about him. Let’s go out and have some fun." Hu Yuxi changed the topic. He had dissed his cousin enough for now.
"Okay." Tian Xingyun nodded.
Tian Xingyun went upstairs to change clothes. She grabbed her bag and put on a hat before heading out.
It was very sunny today, and she was too lazy to use an umbrella, so she wore a hat.
She bought some things at the mall and once again splurged on Huo Shaohua’s card!
At the Huo Family’s old house.
Huo Shaohua was tying his tie when he heard his phone vibrating on the table. It was a text message.
He picked it up and saw it was another purchase notification from his bank card.
Looking at the amount spent, he raised an eyebrow and smiled.
The things she bought were quite cheap. Couldn’t she buy something more expensive?
Song Yi walked in cheerfully, "Shaohua, are you ready?"
"All done." Huo Shaohua replied with a smile, quickly deleting the text message.
After deleting the message, he put the phone back on the table and continued tying his tie.
"Housekeeper Liu seems to have something to discuss with you." Song Yi said as she walked up to him, sneaking glances at the phone.
"I’ll go check." Huo Shaohua finished tying his tie and walked out of the room without taking his phone.
Song Yi followed him to the door, making sure he went downstairs.
She quickly turned back into the room and grabbed his phone to check.
The phone still didn’t have a password, just like before. She opened the text messages.
There were no special messages, just some work-related ones or reminders about his mobile bill.
During breakfast downstairs, her mom mentioned Shaohua had behaved oddly yesterday.
He had smiled at a text message and when asked about it, he only said that the company had secured a big project.
Her eyes lit up as she carefully inspected the messages and saw one from Hu Yuxi.
The content was indeed about him successfully securing a multi-million-dollar project.
