Jeremy boarded the flight. As usual, he sat in the window seat and closed his eyes. He was still wearing the mask to cover his face. He hoped that no one would bother him.
As time passed, the passengers started to fill in the seats. But they glanced at the young man sitting in the window seat before minding their own business.
From time to time, the flight attendants stole glances at Jeremy Night. They were locals. They knew about Jeremy's feats at Central University 14, which had brought fame to City C as well.
Central University 14:
The First Year Beast Tamers were in a good mood because their Department Representatives had decided to challenge Jeremy Night once he came back from the mission.
After the incident with Romeo Barrett, everyone came to know that Jeremy Night had gone on a mission. So, they were patiently waiting for him to return.
So that their department representatives could challenge him and regain their lost prestige. But they didn't know that Jeremy Night was not interested in dealing with them.
If he had wanted to, he would have defeated Romeo Barrett then and there.
In the Elemental Department, May Lindsey was being pestered by her classmates as well. Even the Department Instructor wanted her to take back the Number 1 Beast Tamer title from Jeremy Night.
Everyone knew that Jeremy Night was able to get that title because no one had challenged him before.
Including the two S-Graders. Now that the Attack Department Representative, Romeo Barrett, had proven that he was not afraid of any challenge, the other department students wanted to see that as well.
May Lindsey had been minding her own business when she found out that the Striker Department Representative, Jeremy Night, was out on a mission. She was genuinely happy.
But the people around her had different thoughts. They were forcing her to fight against Jeremy Night. May Lindsey had tried her best to keep a low profile.
In the end, she gave up as well. She agreed to fight. It didn't take long for the news to spread.
In the Control Department, Victor Scott was taken aback by the recent developments. Like May Lindsey, he was asked by his classmates and Department Instructor to fight against Jeremy Night.
Because everyone knew that Striker Department's Beast Tamers wouldn't have suitable Lifeline beasts. More importantly, no one had seen Jeremy Night using his Lifeline beast before.
So they were sure that Jeremy's Lifeline beast was not that great. The chances of other Department Representatives defeating Jeremy Night were high.
Victor Scott was level-headed like May Lindsey. He had seen that kid coming out carrying the corpses of Tier-3 Corrupted Ground Snake Beasts during the Department Ranking.
He couldn't do it at that time, but his strength has risen now. He thought he could defeat Tier-3 Corrupted Beasts with his talent now. So he was not afraid of facing Jeremy Night.
He agreed to challenge him as well. Now that Victor Scott had given his consent, the Elemental and Control Department students were happy. They couldn't wait for Jeremy Night to return to the campus.
On the other hand, there were still some First Year Department Instructors who thought that Jeremy Night was still strong. His record was evident.
Except for the two S-Graders, the Department Instructors didn't think other Department Representatives could fight against Tier-3 Corrupted Beasts at their current stage.
The Training Ground Instructor, Ariel Burt, was watching the developments with a smile on her face. She had seen that kid effortlessly slaying the Tier-2 Corrupted Beasts.
The First Year Students who were Department Representatives were taking this matter too lightly.
Betsy Lowe and Daniel Stone were inside their classroom. Instructor Jacob was teaching about their Lifeline beasts. One of the drawbacks of the Striker Department is that people with body talent would find it hard to get suitable Lifeline beasts to bond.
But surprisingly, it's not the case with Betsy Lowe and Daniel Stone. Their talents align well with the talents of their Lifeline beasts.
So Jacob was excited about teaching them. He would have been happier if he knew about Jeremy's Lifeline beast. He would have done research on it.
Later, he could teach it to Jeremy Night. Right now, he was teaching Betsy and Daniel.
When the classes were over, Instructor Jacob was ready to leave.
"Instructor, when will Brother Jeremy return?" Daniel Stone asked.
Hearing that, Jacob paused his footsteps. His eyes flashed with hesitation. He knew about the ongoing developments here. Everyone was after Jeremy Night.
He had thought that all the Department Instructors were convinced, but the Department Instructors of the two S-Graders had a different idea.
He looked at Daniel and said, "In a day or two."
Betsy sighed. They felt helpless in this matter.
Jacob nodded to them before leaving.
When it was nighttime, Jeremy Night's flight landed at the City A Airport. The airport was larger than those in other cities.
About 20 minutes later,
Jeremy walked out of the airport. He immediately booked an aircab to Central University 14.
It didn't take long for the cab to arrive. Jeremy entered the cab and told the driver about the destination. Jeremy's eyes flashed with anticipation.
He didn't know how others would react to the video footage.
The aircab arrived at Central University 14 a half-hour later.
Jeremy paid the fare before entering the university. The guards were there. He simply showed his pass to go through.
Jeremy then started walking towards the dorm building. The matter of the Mighty Order incident was so serious that it made him forget about the university.
Now that he was back here, he didn't know what had happened during his absence. His eyes flashed with a gleam thinking about the Attack Department.
Soon, he arrived at the dorm building. He could see dorm mates going about their business. After glancing at them, he returned to his room.
