Jeremy's speed was fast. He couldn't believe the speed at which he was moving. Yet he knew the danger following him. He realized that a terrifying worm beast was chasing after him.
Last time, it was the Tier-5 Worm Beast. Now, he had caught a glimpse of the beast while running. The humongous size of the beast sent chills down his spine.
He continued to flee without turning back. He had led those killers to the worm beast's territory earlier. Now that the killers were gone, the worm beast was after him.
Jeremy was moving in the direction of the forbidden area. He could have led it towards the City Gate so that City Governor Elton could slay the worm beast again.
But he didn't want to do that. If it happened once, it could be called coincidence, but if the worm beast came again, the city administration would definitely launch an investigation.
Last time, he had escaped somehow, but he knew it wouldn't happen again. Besides, he didn't want to put the lives of others in danger.
If his assumption was right, then the beast following him from behind could be above Tier-5. If such a beast appeared near the City Gate, it could immediately attack the city.

At dusk, the duo reached the City Gate. After entering the city, they didn't waste any time. They quickly entered a flying taxi to go to the university.
They had tried contacting Jeremy Night a couple of minutes ago, but there was no signal. This indicated that Jeremy Night was still in the wilderness; he had yet to come outside.
It made them anxious. It was clear to both of them that Jeremy Night was hiding from the killers.

They returned to the university. Upon returning, they didn't even go to the Department Building; rather, they waited near the administration building before calling Instructor Jacob.
Jacob Henry answered the call. Knowing that the duo had something to discuss in person, he felt uneasy. He knew something was up.
Otherwise, he knew Daniel Stone and Betsy Lowe wouldn't react like that.
He quickly left his office and went to meet the duo. Upon arrival, he immediately asked, "What now?"
Daniel Stone and Betsy Lowe looked at each other. They were speechless. They wondered how he knew.
"Don't be surprised!"
"Ever since I became your instructor, I'm used to your troubles. It would be something if you guys didn't encounter any problems," Jacob said with a sigh.
His furrowed eyebrows showed that he was tense as well.
Betsy stepped forward and told him the details.
"Jeremy Night is facing a life-or-death crisis?"
"A killer group?" Jacob's expression changed drastically.
He knew who was after Jeremy's life. Last time, two Senior Students had attempted kidnapping. If their families were involved in this plan, it would be troublesome.
Jacob didn't show any clue on his face. The matter of senior students' actions was hidden. Otherwise, it could cause panic and distrust among the first years.
"You guys don't tell anyone. I'll go and meet the department head." After saying that, Jacob left the place.

Daniel sighed. He could tell that she was hiding something.
