STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer Chapter 45

When he took out the decapitated head of the Tier-2 beast, everyone was surprised. The attack department beast tamers began cheering. The Tier-2 beast was the real deal. The beast tamers didn't know how the points would be calculated.

One after another, the Tier-2 decapitated heads were placed. Finally, when the kill count reached 40, the representative stepped back. He had killed a total of 40 corrupted beasts, including 30 Tier-1 beasts and 10 Tier-2 beasts.

The attack department instructor's face eased. It would not be comparable to the two S-Graders, but it was fine for A-grade talent. The instructor had faith in the other students as well. When every one of their beast tamers submitted their kill counts, the total kill count would be high.

The attack department representative stepped back, and others started to submit their kill counts.

At the same time, Jeremy began observing his future rivals; he knew that from tomorrow onwards everything would change. People would treat others according to the department rankings, so he thought it better to collect details about the department representatives' characters.

Before coming here, he had Petra Ross and Levy Glass as rivals. This count would increase in the future. After looking at the attack department representative, Jeremy made a small assessment. He was not impressed by him. That person had A-grade talent, but apart from that, he seemed average in other areas.

So he quickly lost interest and began observing others.

After the Attack and Defense Departments, it was the turn of the Elemental Department. They didn't know whether it was a coincidence or not, but the Defense Department representative's kill count was the same as the Attack Department representative's.

The total kill count of the two departments didn't have much difference, so everyone lost interest and turned toward May Lindsey.

May Lindsey stepped forward, and a faint gleam of happiness flashed in her eyes.

It was her time to shine. She noticed everyone's gazes on her. The middle-aged man who was the Captain of the University Patrol Team saw her. He knew secret information about why the competition venue was changed at the last minute.

The families behind her and Victor Scott played a role in it. They wanted their children to stand out, so it could be used as a statement to other beast-taming forces in City A.

He guessed other forces must be patiently waiting for the results.

May Lindsey walked up to the desk and put out the decapitated heads of the corrupted beasts. She started placing them from the Tier-2 corrupted beasts.

A sound of exclamation arose.

The beast tamers from all other departments were surprised. They had expected her to amaze everyone.

But they didn't expect her to put Tier-2 beasts' decapitated heads directly, which meant she hadn't killed or collected Tier-1 decapitated heads.

But they didn't know that she had killed many Tier-1 corrupted beasts; all of them had been crushed into pieces because of her overpowered ice element.

Most of them were in hidden places away from the cameras, so they weren't able to see that on the screen.

May continued placing her collection on the table.

On the other hand, someone kept staring at her. The person was none other than Victor Scott.

"No way, she didn't have a single Tier-1 corrupted beast," Victor thought.

He had killed and collected Tier-1 corrupted beasts' decapitated heads. If he didn't submit them, then his total kill count would be low. Victor was getting frustrated.

A few minutes later, May Lindsey placed over 170 Tier-2 decapitated heads. Her actual kill count was higher than that because she was unable to prevent some of the frozen beasts' bodies from getting destroyed.

A loud exclamation sounded.

"Ha... Ha... Ha..., excellent," the middle-aged captain said with a laugh.

"Looks like her family's efforts weren't in vain," he thought.

The beast tamers were dumbfounded, including the department instructors. A kill count of 170 Tier-2 corrupted beasts was not a normal feat. It would tire out most of the beast tamers, yet she was able to achieve this amazing feat.

The Elemental Department instructor's eyes were shining with bright light. She was a middle-aged woman and a high-tier elemental beast tamer herself.

Right now, her heart was in disbelief. What May Lindsey did was unbelievable; even she couldn't have imagined achieving this feat in her early days.

If she were to know May Lindsey's total kill count was higher than this, then everyone's reaction would be something worth seeing.

On the side of the Striker Department, Jeremy felt competitive. He was expecting her to do well, but the talent of S-Grade surprised him.

He felt that elemental power could cause large-scale damage. The elemental beast tamers could use group-scale attacks.

He thought May Lindsey must have used a group-scale ice attack. So if he put it this way, the kill count of 170 was not an exaggeration.

After gaining some clarity, he sighed inwardly. If he wanted to pull this off, then he needed fighting methods, including blade styles.

When he mastered those, he could achieve something .

"S-Grade is S-Grade. It's unmatchable," Jacob said, his eyes flashing with envy for a second.

"She is a monster. But she is not the only monster here. There is also Victor Scott. There are many in the senior years," Ariel Burt said in a solemn tone.

"You are right. We are talking about Central University 14. There are other forces in our city as well. They might also have hidden S-Graders."

"Most importantly, we are just living under one of the zones in the Human Alliance. If you take the entire Human Alliance into account, then the numbers must be more than 100," Jacob said to Ariel.

Their conversation reached Jeremy's ears as well. He knew the difference between S-Grade and other grades. For S-Grade, the upper limit was higher. They could certainly reach the peak of the beast tamer rank, Tier-10.

Jeremy's eyes flickered. He didn't think his talent was lower than that of others. With the help of a mysterious unknown lifeline beast, he will reach the peak as well.
