"So, this is the power of guns…" Flora's hands were shaking.
Normally, Nathan would have to split the bullets and send them to their respective targets. There was a chance for the alien not to die from one or two bullets. At that time, he had to kill them with the second wave or third wave.
However, it was a chore to find which alien was still alive and which one had fallen to his bullets.
It was different now that he had this new weapon. He aimed at one first and killed it before shifting his aim to the next target. With the rapid fire, he was able to take them down before they could even close the gap between them.
Still, there was one problem. The firepower was quite amazing, but it was only useful against proto-class and juvenile class aliens.
However, a mature class alien could easily block the attacks. In fact, it would take a lot of bullets to take down a juvenile class alien as well due to its stronger physical ability and skin toughness.
More and more aliens started to come toward Nathan.
But Nathan had prepared for such a thing. There was a switch located on the right side of the gun.
Nathan pulled it up, which altered the way the ena flow within the gun. He aimed it at one juvenile class alien and pressed the trigger.
The ena concentrated inside the barrel was actually an explosive bullet. The explosive bullet hit the juvenile class alien and blasted both the arms and body.
If Nathan stayed on top of Fenrir while they were moving around, he could easily lower the enemy's number. This was the true terror of the gun.
Still, while people were shocked by the guns, there was one more change that Nathan had. It was none other than Mae.
Fenrir skillfully crushed his opponent with pure physical strength like how he usually did.
On the other hand, Mae's ability was weird even for the girls.
Mae opened the bamboo fan and covered her mouth.
Surprisingly, Mae didn't do anything. She simply strode forward as if she were walking around the town.
As a result, the aliens pounced on her, wanting to rip her apart. To everyone's surprise, Mae's body became translucent and passed through them.
"!!!" The aliens were confused.
"What's going on?! What's that power?" Selena squinted her eyes.
"Well, well, well. Naughty aliens. I wonder what you're sensing right now." Mae smiled.
The aliens that passed Mae suddenly dropped to the ground after hearing those words. They all clutched their chests even though there was no visible wound.
It was then a hole gradually formed in their bodies, as though their minds just registered the damage. There was nothing visible to the naked eye, but they could see it was Mae's ability.
Mae closed her bamboo fan with a crispy slap. "That's the end. And now, there are a lot more naughty aliens ready to be punished."
Mae was planning to do the same thing to the rest of the aliens in her way, but all of a sudden, she noticed an incredible presence coming from the side.
"!!!" Mae took a step in the opposite direction as her tails expanded and formed a shield.
A scythe-like tentacle emerged from the ground, almost cutting her tail.
"Oh my. Another one?" Mae smiled. "The warrior class alien, huh?"
She could see a humanoid alien whose size was slightly larger than an average human staring at her. One of its tentacles had pierced through the ground, which indicated the connection between it and the blade that emerged from the ground.
The humanoid alien retracted the blade, which turned back into a tentacle. Not only did it manage to shapeshift the tentacle to that of a blade, but it also seemed to be able to expand its body, which needed to be taken into consideration.
The humanoid alien leaped forth, planning to take Mae down because it couldn't comprehend her power, unlike Fenrir's raw strength.
All of a sudden, the humanoid alien's movement became sluggish and its speed slowed down.
"!!!" Mae instantly recognized the power and glanced to the side. As she expected, Nathan was pointing his palm toward the humanoid alien as a magic circle manifested in front of his palm.
"That's… Magic Circle?!" Flora dropped her jaw. "Since when… No, wait. Did he recklessly use his 'power' to get an element?"
She only mentioned 'power' because Alavenya and Noelle were already aware of it to a certain extent but didn't know what it was. She had to wait until Nathan explained it to them before openly calling it the soul contract.
"Didn't he tell us he plans to get an element? A permanent one." Sera shook her head.
"It's a permanent element. He's using that 'power' like a lifebound contract, which grants you the element source." Selena paused for a few seconds. "And that element… time, huh?"
"Time? Isn't that more ridiculous than an absolute element?" Flora was taken aback.
Nathan didn't know their reaction. He simply wanted to face this warrior class alien to check his current strength. "That guy is mine."
"As you wish, Master!" Mae smiled. She extended her hand as her ena gradually formed a huge fox's paw. It grabbed the alien, which had slowed down because of Nathan's Deceleration. Then Mae threw the alien toward Nathan.
"!!!" The alien was dumbfounded because it wasn't supposed to fight Nathan.
Before it could shift its focus anywhere else, Nathan was already right before the alien.
The alien was startled because Nathan's speed shouldn't be this fast. It tried to stop Nathan, but the latter had been activating the second magic circle this whole time. He had accelerated himself.
He kicked the alien's two arms and pinned them to the ground by stepping over them. The alien sent forth the tentacles, but they were moving too slowly for Nathan, whose thought process had also been accelerated.
Nathan pointed his gun right at its head and fired.
The alien wasn't planning to go down without a fight. Its front body had already shape-shifted to a tougher skin with the help of the black cell, which Nathan's bullet couldn't even penetrate.
Then this skin formed spikes to impale Nathan, but the latter had seen through it the moment the black cell moved around its body and jumped before the spike even started to form.
Nathan raised his left hand and formed a big cube, splitting it into 64 smaller ones.
