"A Giant Poisonous Scorpion?"
Stunned, the Disciples of Guiyuan Academy stared at the massive scorpion as panic gradually spread across their faces. They never imagined that right after entering the Sacred Ruins Forbidden Land, they would run into one difficult problem after another. First, it was the fierce tigers, and now they had stumbled upon a Giant Poisonous Scorpion, whose attacks were even deadlier and whose hook was tipped with potent toxin! This was the worst possible luck!
"Quick, fall back!" Dong Xuan’s expression tightened. He immediately turned and yelled to the disciples behind him. After all, the Giant Poisonous Scorpion’s attack range is far too wide. He was worried he wouldn’t be able to protect all of them, and someone would get hurt. If they were wounded by that sharp hook, the venom would instantly seep into their bodies.
Upon hearing his command, the Disciples of Guiyuan Academy immediately retreated.
Long Chen had no desire to fight the Giant Poisonous Scorpion either. It’s best to avoid unnecessary battles if possible.
But the more he tried to avoid it, the more Wei Lin wanted to seize the opportunity to embarrass him. He spoke directly to Long Chen, "You, kid! You hold it off while Senior Brother and I protect everyone."
"Idiot," Long Chen replied coldly. "How about you hold it off, and I lead everyone away?"
"I already took care of the last problem. It’s your turn to act," Wei Lin retorted. "I don’t support freeloaders!"
Wei Lin’s face instantly darkened at Long Chen’s response. He had intended to put Long Chen in a difficult position but was instead outmaneuvered, leaving him in an awkward spot.
At that moment, the Giant Poisonous Scorpion let out a piercing shriek. Seeing Long Chen and the others trying to flee, it immediately gave chase. Its long, sharp hook lashed out swiftly toward the Disciples of Guiyuan Academy!
As the hook closed in behind them, Long Chen had no choice but to spin around and strike it with his palm, managing to knock it away.
Thwarted, the Giant Poisonous Scorpion seemed enraged and quickly pursued them. Its speed was incredible. In the blink of an eye, it had blocked everyone’s path. Its sharp hook swept viciously toward the Disciples of Guiyuan Academy.
Forced to act, Wei Lin hurriedly brandished his Sharp Sword, intercepting the blow.
"Damn it!" Dong Xuan’s face darkened. It seems we can’t escape without getting rid of this thing.
Long Chen and Lin Feifei also sprang into action to defend themselves. With their combined efforts, they barely managed to block the Giant Poisonous Scorpion’s next attack.
Seeing how unfavorable the situation was, Wei Lin’s eyes darted around, and he quickly said, "This scorpion’s attacks are incredibly powerful. If we want to get out of here safely, our only chance is to work together."
"Then let’s do it," Lin Feifei nodded. She had no reason to doubt him, as it was the obvious truth.
The Giant Poisonous Scorpion attacked them again. A cold glint flashed! Its venomous hook was terrifying; even a minor scratch could be fatal.
Once he saw Wei Lin and Lin Feifei engaging the Giant Poisonous Scorpion, Long Chen joined the fray. The creature’s attacks were fierce and its movements agile, making it a much tougher opponent than the tigers.
However, when Wei Lin saw Long Chen join the fight, a sly smile curled his lips. He thrust his palm forward, and a blast of Qi Force enveloped Long Chen, shoving him toward the beast.
Long Chen frowned. Just as he was about to turn back, he saw the Giant Poisonous Scorpion charging right at him. Left with no choice, he had to defend himself.
"Wei Lin, how could you do that?!" Lin Feifei demanded, her brows furrowed in disbelief.
Wei Lin just smiled faintly. "He’s so strong, let him handle the Giant Poisonous Scorpion for a bit. What’s the problem?"
"What you did was despicable!" Lin Feifei rebuked angrily.
Just as she was about to move forward to help Long Chen, Wei Lin grabbed her arm, stopping her. "Feifei, don’t worry about him," he said. "We have to trust that he’s more than capable of handling this!"
