The transplantation of eyebrows and eyelashes is commonplace for plastic surgeons, especially with dedicated instruments for hair transplantation, which makes the operation not particularly difficult. However, achieving Ivan’s level of skill is almost impossible.
No matter which part of the body, the key to successful plastic surgery is to look natural and harmonious, breathing life into the human body, rather than creating isolated rigid body parts.
For example, in the eyes of ordinary doctors, eyebrows and eyelashes are just hair. All they need to do is follow the surgical standards, and they are done.
But in Ivan’s eyes, eyebrows and eyelashes can project unique charm, complementing the eyes and facial features. They can be seductive, elegant, noble, dignified, wise, or handsome.
The tricky part lies here, not as simple as planting some hair.
As for reshaping the ears and nostrils after burn injuries, the surgical technique itself is quite challenging, and the aesthetic requirements are high.
For example, with ear reshaping, it needs to meet aesthetic standards and at the same time has to be able to effectively collect sound waves.
The core of facial plastic surgery lies in the reshaping of the facial features. The highest realm of facial reshaping is to sculpt a living soul, which requires extensive experience. Clearly Yang Ping lacks this, hence Dr. Ivan’s concern.
The lab-grown skin grafts have met the standard, with the scalp covering the entire model, and thick hair has already begun to show black spots.
Skin grafts for eyebrows and eyelashes also expanded to a sufficient area, and the amount of hair perfectly meets the needs of the surgery.
In ordinary eyebrow and eyelash transplantation surgery, hair from the back of the head serves as the transplant material.
The hair from the back of the head can be used for hair transplantation. This part of the hair is not subjected to androgen, so it is permanent after transplantation and will not fall out.
If the hair from the top of the head, which may fall out like in baldness, is used as eyebrows or eyelashes, it might fall off as well.
Of course, this method of using hair to replace eyebrows or eyelashes requires frequent trimming, otherwise, it will be long, for it is essentially hair.

Yang Ping can take residual hair, eyebrows, and eyelashes from Teacher Sun, use them as seeds, cultivate them with a little skin, have them grow exponentially, and eventually cultivate a large number of qualified hair, eyebrows, and eyelashes.
Finding a large number of qualified hair, eyebrow, and eyelash follicles is nearly impossible, but under a microscope, finding a few is feasible.
As long as seeds are available, the lab can utilize them to cultivate a large number of similar follicles. This is the advantage of this in vitro expansion technology.

The founder of hair transplantation was a doctor from an island country, named OKUDA.
He performed a skin grafting process on a patient with burn injuries on the back of the head. During the skin grafting, the skin graft carried hair follicles. At the time, the doctor didn’t expect hair transplantation, he was simply doing a routine skin grafting process. However, afterward, new hair started to grow on the new skin patch.
Upon discovering this strange phenomenon, Doctor OKUDA began to explore this topic. He concluded that hair can be transplanted. As long as the hair follicles are transplanted, new hair will grow.
It’s just like planting trees. You transplant the roots along with the soil nearby to a new location, and the trees can survive.
After OKUDA’s pioneering work, other physicians took up the relay.
Another Japanese doctor, HajimeTamuna, had the same brilliant idea. He thought that if hair can be transplanted, then pubic hair can also be transplanted.
This unconventional doctor took women suffering from a lack of pubic hair as test subjects and successfully transplanted hair follicles into their pubic areas. They survived and relieved the patients of their hairless distress.
Dr. HajimeTamuna had a strong spirit of scientific research. He made a comprehensive record of this surgery and the whole process, but his achievements were unfortunately overlooked.
Not until 1959, an American beautician named Orentreich reported on his punch grafting technique, did hair transplantation truly begin to develop as a technology.
As adipose tissue started growing, the skin grafts on Teacher Sun’s body began to look rounded.
The texture of Teacher Sun’s skin returned to normal. All of these grafts were of excellent quality full-thickness skin, cut to the required shape and size. All interfaces between grafts were discreetly located so there were no visible scars on the surface.
