"I was given laxatives and locked in the bathroom; I couldn’t get out for half the day. If it weren’t for Zhang Guifang, I reckon I’d have been stuck in there the whole night."
Feng Chunhua, sobbing and choking, related her ordeal to her husband Yang Dahe.
Yang Dahe, without offering a word of comfort, immediately confronted her, "There are so many military wives visiting on leave. Why would they have it out for you particularly? Have you considered your own actions?"
"My actions? What have I done?" Upon seeing that her husband didn’t show the slightest sympathy for her, Feng Chunhua’s anger surged.
