Sheng Ning’an handed him a car key. "Someone scratched my car when I parked today. If you have time, could you take it to the 4S shop for me? Let the insurance assessor do an estimation too."
"I’m not free these next few days," Sheng Yeli said. "Why don’t you ask our family driver to take care of it?
"That works!" Sheng Ning’an nodded, pulling out his phone to call the driver when he suddenly heard a voice, "You two, why are you standing at the entrance?"
The institute had a designated reception area, but Sheng Ning’an had intended to hand over the car keys and leave, so he hadn’t gone there.
Seeing him, Sheng Ning’an suddenly had an idea, her eyes lighting up. "Xu Weiran, you just returned to the institute. I guess the director hasn’t assigned you any tasks yet?"
Xu Weiran nodded. "That’s right. Need help with something? And, ’Xu Weiran’ is what you call me? Call me ’Brother!’"
Sheng Ning’an figured it wouldn’t hurt to call this older guy ’Brother,’ so she instantly smiled charmingly, "Brother Wei Ran, can you help me take my car to the 4S shop?"
"Is there something wrong with the car?" Xu Weiran raised an eyebrow.
Sheng Ning’an: "Yeah, a minor issue. It got a bit of paint scratched off."
"Alright, where’s the car parked? I’ll take it over in the afternoon," said Xu Weiran, reaching out his hand.
"Thanks!" Sheng Ning’an immediately placed the car keys in his hand.
Sheng Yeli stood by, watching the two, his eyebrows slightly furrowed, but ultimately he said nothing.
After taking care of the car issue, Sheng Ning’an suddenly remembered she hadn’t eaten yet, turning to the two people opposite her, "Oh, by the way, I haven’t eaten yet. I’m so hungry. Who’s going to invite me for a meal?"
