“How come you only care about that girl? Your son has a fractured hand, and you don’t care at all?” He didn’t know how An’an had caught his mother’s fancy. Anyone unaware would think An’an was her own daughter.
Mother Xu didn’t mince her words as she let loose on Xu Weiran: “Aren’t you doing just fine? Besides, An’an told us that you merely have a minor fracture, and in a few days you can get the cast off. Aren’t I just creating opportunities for you? If not for us, would your relationship have progressed this smoothly?”
And to think she had just felt this boy was finally wising up!
If she showed too much concern for his injury, what would that make the girl think?
Xu Weiran picked up the car keys from the table and said, “I see you and dad don’t really care about me either, I’m heading back.”
Mother Xu glared at him and said, “Going back where? Do you really think this is a hotel? An’an must have gone back to school, right? Stay at home these next few days. But after a few months of being together, Sheng Ning’an realized that her feelings for him were growing deeper and deeper.
