They all thought Sheng Ning’an had gone back to her own home to live, since it wasn’t very far by car from the school.
Sheng Ning’an didn’t bother to explain.
It’s not that she couldn’t say, she just felt it wasn’t necessary.
"By the way," Tian Yu glanced around and then lowered her voice, "After you moved out last night, Shi Yue had a big outburst. I’m really envious of you, we all want to move out like you did."
Sheng Ning’an: "Since you don’t like living together, go tell the tutor you want to change dorm rooms."
"Forget it!" They’d have to investigate then.
The two of them weren’t the type to talk behind people’s backs, and after all, they had lived in the same dorm for nearly a year, they didn’t want to make things too tense.
They were unwilling, and Sheng Ning’an couldn’t say much more.
Everyone has their own choices.
"By the way, did you tell the tutor about moving out? You better hurry to tell them, I’m afraid Shi Yue will go and tattle to the tutor." Tian Yu reminded her.
"No problem, I’ll go to the tutor’s office right after class."
With Shi Yue having deliberately ruined her dress before, she wasn’t worried the tutor wouldn’t agree. Surely, the tutor didn’t want to escalate matters and wouldn’t feel comfortable letting the two of them continue living together.
Moving out was actually the best result.
It avoided some potential conflicts ahead of time.
"Alright, as long as you’re aware!" Tian Yu felt relieved hearing her say this, and the three walked towards the classroom.
Shi Yue got to the classroom before them, and when she saw the three entering together, a look of venom flashed in her eyes.
A thought briefly flickered in her mind.
As soon as class was over, Sheng Ning’an went to tell the tutor about her decision to move out of the dormitory. As she expected, the tutor didn’t oppose but did require her to write an application form for moving out, which needed a parent’s signature for confirmation.
Fortunately, she had already informed her family earlier, so around noon she took the application form to the neighboring Jing University to get her mother’s signature, and that afternoon she handed the form to the tutor.
The matter of moving out of the dormitory was resolved easily.
Tian Yu and Xue Xian were quite envious.
But they could only envy, as their parents wouldn’t agree to let them move out, and they didn’t have extra money to rent a place.
Fortunately, ever since Sheng Ning’an moved out, Shi Yue quieted down a lot and no longer deliberately provoked them. Besides, she recently found a tutoring part-time job, so she was basically not in the dormitory on weekends, making life much easier for Tian Yu and Xue Xian.
They didn’t have to constantly face someone emotionally unstable.
Meanwhile, after Sheng Ning’an moved out, she discovered cohabiting is really wonderful; every day someone would make breakfast and call her to get up, and at night someone would bring her late-night snacks.
Xu Weiran occasionally would pick her up from school at night if he wasn’t working overtime.
The days living together felt as if even the wind had become gentle.
That day, as usual, Xu Weiran worked overtime until past ten and came out of the laboratory, texting Sheng Ning’an to ask if she wanted a late-night snack as he walked.
But he waited for a long time and didn’t receive a reply.
Upon returning home, he found the girl asleep on the couch in the living room.
Xu Weiran couldn’t help but smile lightly, as he casually placed his clothes on the couch and bent down to carry her to the bed, but as soon as he touched her, he noticed something was wrong.
He felt her forehead and realized her temperature wasn’t normal.
Xu Weiran carried her to the room and fetched a thermometer.
He took her temperature: 39°. She was running a fever!
