Shen Zhaozhao had stayed in bed for three whole days.
Only after her period ended did she finally decide to get out of bed.

Now that Sheng Chuyi brought it up again, Shen Zhaozhao couldn’t help but blush.
Fearing he would continue, Shen Zhaozhao quickly said, “I’m not eating anymore, let’s go do something else!” After speaking, she dragged him quickly away.
As Sang Youyou and the others had guessed, every popular attraction had long lines.
Finally, the two of them arrived in front of the haunted house.
Compared to the earlier attractions, there were the fewest people here.
Shen Zhaozhao directly pulled Sheng Chuyi to line up.

It was the first time for both of them to enter a haunted house. Although it was very hot outside, as soon as they entered, the temperature dropped by several degrees. Shen Zhaozhao subconsciously rubbed her arms.
“Cold?” Sheng Chuyi asked her.
“It’s okay!” Shen Zhaozhao shook her head and looked inside.
The lights inside the haunted house were dim, and right at the entrance, they faced a white skeleton. Shen Zhaozhao initially didn’t pay much attention, but as they passed by the skeleton, its arm suddenly moved, and it even uttered “Welcome!” which gave Shen Zhaozhao a big scare.
“It’s fake!” Sheng Chuyi’s voice rang in her ear.
“I, I know, let’s hurry up!” Shen Zhaozhao swallowed, calming herself down, then tightened her grip on Sheng Chuyi’s hand and sped up their pace.
As they walked along the narrow corridor of the haunted house, the lights overhead began to flicker. Suddenly, they felt a cold breeze from behind, bringing a chill. Shen Zhaozhao couldn’t help but shiver.
Just then, a head peeked out from behind a white curtain nearby, draped with long hair, its face deathly pale with blood dripping from the corners of its eyes, slowly opening its gaping mouth with a “giggle” of laughter.
Shen Zhaozhao felt her scalp tingle, her legs go weak, and her heart raced as if it might leap out of her throat.
Although she knew these were all fake, just live actors pretending to be NPCs, Shen Zhaozhao was still frightened by their dramatic appearances.
Just then, a hand covered her eyes and said, “If you’re scared, just close your eyes, don’t look, I’ll lead you through.”
“Who, who said I was scared? How, how could I be?” Shen Zhaozhao’s speech faltered, yet she still tried to talk tough.
Sheng Chuyi said, “Fine, you’re not scared! So, are we going or not?”
“Let’s go, of course we’re going. I, I was just tired from walking, just resting a bit.” Should she admit she was scared stiff by an NPC?
Doesn’t Shen Zhaozhao have any pride?
“Then let’s go!” Sheng Chuyi went along with her words and didn’t call her out on it.
Shen Zhaozhao pulled his hand away from her eyes, trying her best not to look sideways and not to notice the “ghosts” in the corners.
She muttered under her breath, “Fake, all fake, all fake!”
Afterwards, Shen Zhaozhao walked with trepidation, fearing that something might pop out around her.
They encountered several more live actors pretending to be NPCs, but with the experience of the first encounter, she wasn’t as scared as before.
They reached the exit, tense all the way, and Shen Zhaozhao finally breathed a sigh of relief, her steps becoming lighter, and she said to Sheng Chuyi, “See, I told you I would protect you!”
Sheng Chuyi replied, “…As long as you’re happy!”
