The basement was dimly lit.
Watching her sudden move, he was truly stunned for a moment, and then he came to his senses. First, he instinctively looked outside the car window, checking the upper part and corners for any surveillance cameras.
Li Zaijun, however, directly lay on top of him, hooking her arms around his neck.
Shen Lin pulled her small body away, lifted her little face, and slightly raised an eyebrow, "Did you do this on purpose, setting a trap for me, so your brother would come after me?"
She could even take the initiative to kiss him.
Wasn’t she still quite resistant to him?
Li Zaijun, however, closed her eyes and lightly murmured with furrowed brows, "Don’t push me away."
Afterward, she hooked her arms around his neck again, her small body limp against him.
Her little head nested in the crook of his neck.
It felt much more comfortable, although it didn’t alleviate the internal restlessness, but being so close to his cool body, she could not bear to let go.
He slightly lowered his eyes, watching her cling to him awkwardly like a child, feeling her little head nuzzle into the crook of his neck.
His eyes darkened slightly, and before he spoke again, his Adam’s apple moved, and he slowly said:
"Little girl, you’re drunk."
That was the only explanation he could use for her behavior.
In the end, Shen Lin sighed helplessly, took the car keys, then opened the car door and single-handedly carried her out.
He closed the car door with a bang and locked the car.
Then he held her with both hands, and she, hooking her arms around his waist, rested her head on his shoulder, her hot breaths falling on the crook of his neck.
It was ticklish, making him feel like there were feathers teasing his heart.
A tall man, nearly six feet, carrying a petite girl who looked delicate and graceful; at a glance, he almost looked like he was holding a daughter.
The elevator went straight to the apartment.
But in the elevator, a little mishap occurred, even a rare, somewhat embarrassing one for him.
He was holding her in that position in the elevator when someone entered midway. She started fidgeting restlessly in his arms, even biting his neck, becoming more and more excessive.
It nearly made him grit his teeth.
The onlookers kept glancing over, and in the end, he let her bury her little head in his chest, his large hand shielding her, preventing others from seeing her face.
So, this was how she acted when she was drunk?
Luckily, she encountered him tonight; if it had been some other man, he dared not think what might have happened!
The more Shen Lin thought about it, the more complicated his feelings became.
After they reached his apartment, he closed the door and placed her on a counter by the entryway.
Then he bent down to remove her shoes.
His slippers were not convenient for her to wear, so he simply carried her to the bedroom directly; his tone was somewhat like coaxing a child as he spoke:
"Be good, you’re already drunk. No more drinking tonight, okay? Let’s go to sleep early."
Li Zaijun felt dizzy but still somewhat lucid, though her lucidity was being burned away by the fire inside her.
He laid her on the bed, then headed to the bathroom to grab a towel to wipe her face.
However, just as he was turning around, his hand was grasped by a soft little hand.
His body stiffened for a moment, and before he could turn to look at her, she knelt on the large bed and embraced him from behind.
