Shen Lin’s body froze completely.
It felt as if something had exploded by his ear, making him almost doubt what he had heard.
Her little arms held him even tighter, rubbing against his back. Her voice was different from her usual cold demeanor, now filled with soft warmth. She repeated,
She embraced him , speaking such words.
When Shen Lin recovered from his initial reaction, he let out a brief chuckle, then shook his head as if in disbelief.
He turned around to look at her, her cheeks flushed, her eyes hazy, even her breath carrying a faint, intoxicating aroma of wine, suddenly finding himself unable to ask.
She surely didn’t mean it that way.
She was so resistant to that kind of thing.
And so resistant to him.
If she hadn’t been drunk and run into him, would she be hugging and embracing him like now and even kissing him?
"Li Zaijun, do you even know who I am?"
He looked at her intently and asked.
With his words, Li Zaijun closed her eyes and stopped talking.
Seeing her , Shen Lin’s lips tugged in resignation. He lay her down and turned to go to the bathroom.
To dampen a towel and wipe her face.
Yet when he came back out, the scene in the room made him freeze.
Jeans and a small shirt lay scattered on the floor.
She was wearing a dark green camisole, and thin straps hung from her pale, slender shoulders.
It made her look even more fair.
Her soft short hair was a mess, half-covering her eyebrows and eyes, her lips a light pink, like cherry blossoms, exuding youthfulness.
And even more fatal, Shen Lin couldn’t keep looking; his temples throbbed twice.
He forced his eyes away, his throat tightening.
She really had it out for him.
He didn’t believe she did it on purpose, after all, she was drunk.
And he had promised Lu Xiao to take good care of her, so he wouldn’t do anything to her. But her behavior was like grinding his patience into the ground.
In the end, he still managed to calm his emotions and approached her.
Walking to the bed, he casually lifted the thin blanket and laid it over her.
Usually hidden by jeans, they seemed so long lying on the bed?
What was he thinking?
Shen Lin became irritated.
He leaned over, wiping her flushed face and neck with the towel.
And she, frowning, murmured something incoherently, and in no time at all, had kicked off the blanket, seemingly too hot.
Shen Lin’s eyelids twitched again.
Hastily he covered her once more.
How could he not have known she had this bad habit of kicking off covers?!
She was indeed a brat.
But just a second later, that brat, as he wiped her cheek, grabbed his hand, opened her eyes slightly, gazing at him through a hazy gaze, and murmured slowly:
"Shen brother, I want you."
That one "Shen brother" made all his blood freeze.
He looked at her incredulously.
"Do you understand what you’re saying?"
Li Zaijun didn’t speak but simply hooked her arms around his neck, pinning him in his suit pants and black shirt to the edge of the bed, while she lay on top of him.
The towel that had been in Shen Lin’s hands fell onto the bed, and eventually, as they moved, it was squeezed off onto the floor.
